Hi Jim, you forgot one of the main things, The People are Awesome. Also, Three large and great quality high schools. Go TRN!!! My daughters a Graduate of North, has a bachelors and two masters.
Thanks for watching and commenting and you are right; I did forget, in this video... but I believe I at least covered the 3 high quality high schools in my "Ultimate Guide To Toms River" video? Our son just graduated from HS North (Class of 2022), my wife is TRHSN Class of 91 and I am a graduate of TRHS East (Class of 84).
Been to all those places. Was born in Paterson in 66 now in NC. Still have a lot of family there. My uncle built a lot of homes there many years ago. He was a Navarra. I loved sea side back in the 70's when we went up to visit family. The lived off Kettle Creek rd.
I just watched your video and thanks for the tips. I would like to know what are the best places around in Toms River for pizza, bagels, and pork roll, egg and cheese?
Yes, NJ Transit runs an "express" bus out of the Toms River Park & Ride (Downtown)... it takes about an hour and 35 minutes to reach the Port Authority. A one way ticket will run you around $22 currently. Great question! Any others?
TR is suffering a slow but certain demise. I wouldn't recommend living here. As a life long resident I've seen many locals move out in the last 10 years and it's accelerating. Taxes are going up, schools taking a financial beating and a changing population. No prejudice here just my observation. All groups can live together but one group is overpopulating the area and the infrastructure can't handle it. This same group is buying all the homes and business. Again, nothing against them but they are changing the town and not for the better. If you don't mind the traffic and ever increases taxes then come join us!
Could you tell me more ? Are we talking about a specific group that is known to lakewood? I'm looking at TR to retire, but also want to know all the cons
Jim you forgot to tell the people that the property taxes are astronomical besides nothing to do in Toms River which you admit who the hell in their right mind would live in Toms river? Unless you're rich because the property taxes will eat you up alive. The Riverboat ride is the only thing that Toms River has that's it I did my dad's 90th birthday on that it was wonderful but soon as you get off the boat the town sucks the people are not friendly they say that they're friendly they are not friendly they hate everybody in the summertime because they want everybody to leave them the f*** alone so Toms River totally sucks I grew up in Lanoka Harbor the next town over and I know all about Toms River and I know all about Lanoka Harbor the taxes are high and everything it's just sucks that whole area is really shity and when you go through Toms River to get to Seaside or ortley Beach go fast so you don't have to look at the place it's really gross
Ralph, I don't know who stole your tricycle when you were a toddler but let that shite go. Life is too short to be such a grump. I cover the "high" NJ property taxes in my "Cost of Living in Toms River" video and I also state, "living in Toms River might not be for everyone", so Toms River and I thank you for choosing not to live here. May you find the peace and serenity you so desperately seek. ☮️❤️🦄
While I am not a "water quality control" expert, and don't deny the existence of the Super-Fund site (Ciba Geigy), I do know Toms River's water is the MOST tested water in the state of NJ.

Seaside has changed a lot since the 70s but Kettle Creek hasn't changed too much... where are you in NC?

Too many out of staters moving here. Used to be a good place to live. Now it’s congested and expensive af.
Why do you think they are moving here?
I just watched your video and thanks for the tips. I would like to know what are the best places around in Toms River for pizza, bagels, and pork roll, egg and cheese?
Hey Nick! Thanks for watching and asking and thanks for the great idea for a video 😎👍
I think I'm staying in Miami...!!!! thanks for your summary...
You are very welcome. Enjoy Miami!
Total opposites 🤣
Hi Jim
I loved your vídeo.
I visited Toms River in 2020.
I loved this place 👏👍🙂
God bless you 🙏
Joaquim! Thanks for visiting and thanks for watching. Please come back to see us soon!
@@JimFlanagan-TomsRiverRealtor I hope so. I can't wait 🙂👍
Are there buses that take me to New York, in case I don't want to go in my car? thank you, how long is the distance by bus?

4th con rt9 traffic from howell to Toms River yearly
Acknowledged. Route 9 traffic can be frustrating as well. Good point.

Thank you for your opinion and experience. May I ask, is there anything(s) you still like about living here?
Hate has no place here (or anywhere).
Also, Ciba Geigy!!! FUN
Who doesn't like to see 2 headed deer cross the road?
I was born there. My friends still live there. Lakewood expanding their buffoonery is a big reason people wouldn't wanna move there.
Juan, thanks for watching and the first part of your comments but "buffoonery" is not exclusive to one ethnicity.
