I've spent a lot of time working on this trailer, particularly the anime shot at the end. Now it's time to go back to working on the game. All 9 Robot Master stages/weapons are done. Now I'll try to work on the final set of stages and the new villain shown here.

Some details on the game:
- Overdrive system adds a new layer of strategy by allowing you to store energy in a separate meter to increase Mega Man’s attack output or avoid damage at critical times
- All stages have multiple paths to explore
- Collect 8 upgrades as you explore stages to improve Mega Man’s Overdrive abilities
- Find 8 keys to unlock another 9th secret Robot Master
- Play on Normal or Hard difficulty

It might've been over a decade, but we're so glad you made a comeback, Mega Man Unlimited 2 looks extremely good and might have a good chance to outperform even it's predecessor!

At least it's genuinely just the Power Gear -- Speed Gear added too many variables to make 11 enjoyable.
i know the effect is very similar to the gear system, but between the new design for Mega Man with the Overdrive system and the context of Z-Prototype, it makes me think that Dr Light is prototyping stuff that X eventually gets

I agree they need to go deeper into Zero’s creation, since nothing in the classic series has been said about it since the second fighting game, but we should NOT go back to 8-Bit

@@DanteCrowlley working with 2D is not worth for them, it's more expensive, more time-consuming, and REQUIRES severe commitment to any art, because a small change in design means having to redo almost everything.
For indie projects and fangames it works because they aren't constrained by expenses, time, and they have ALREADY committed to what they want... Although there are some indies/fangames that changes the art and stalls the development hard.

If we add Unlimited, cause it is so genuine feeling. Since there are Megaman Super Fighting Robot and Megaman Rock & Roll fangames too that are very good, this is basically Megaman 15.

I like how you made the Overdrive a precursor to the level of power Mega Man X would have down the line. Enhancing not only the strength and range of his Mega Buster, but also of the weapons he obtains from the Robot Masters. Besides the threat of this new set of Robot Masters, it could also be meant for in case the "mysterious robot" comes before Mega Man again.
Could this "mysterious robot" and Mega Man have a rematch?

I'm guessing you didn't play 11 because Power Gear was the same thing. But I'm really glad fan project makers are following suit with what a great idea that was and giving us charged master weapon shots which opens up such a new dimension of play.
@@koopakape I have played 11 a couple years back. Awesome addition to the series, but I haven't beaten it. Yet. I plan to pick it back up after things settle down in my life.
@@alexfischer7876 That's what I'm hoping for. The unwinnable fight against proto-Zero was a really sour note to end the game on, so being able to actually defeat him this time would be a nice way to make up for it!

Megaman's new armor looks like a prototype version of X's base armor, and it's perfect.
MMU1 not only was a phenomenal game but one of the best fangames I ever tried. Can't wait to try out this very much needed sequel!

i remember when the first one was still called Mega Man 10 because it was in development before Capcom's official MM10. I remember loving MMUnlimited back in the day as a teenager, really happy to see it's getting a sequel, i'm really looking forward to it!

Really like that this connects the original and X series together.
I came across the first installment of this game in 2014 and it's kind of epic to see this sequel 10 years later.

I remember way back in the late 2000s when I was a kid when you made a bunch of concept pieces for "megaman 9", and I remember being fascinated at the ideas because full original megaman games to me were so novel at the time. I loved the music and the custom robot masters because they really looked like they could be their own thing, imagine my excitement when megaman unlimited was announced as a full game and not just a proof of concept. I'm well into my 20s at this point but I still have a soft spot for megaman fangames and I look forward to playing this when it finally releases.

The first Unlimited was something I was hyped for since almost the beginning! I remember listening to its soundtrack pieces while waiting for actual release and it was something that I spent so many hours and days back then. ❤ It was the best fangame ever made and here's to hope that this is the one to surpass it! Love the colors of each stage, warp is so animated and beautiful, grapnels background has that crisp feel to it, and I adore the themeing of spike man’s stage, very excited for this game
An amazing upgrade to the double gear system
I played the hell out of the first MMU back when you released it. Not only was it an incredible Mega Man game, but it had an awesome Endless Attack mode. Now, after watching this, I'm really looking forward to this one. Great job. :)

@@alexfischer7876 Unless if Sigma decided to use the Time Machine and travel back to the past for his unique attempt to turn the Robot Masters into Mavericks by infecting them with Sigma Virus and manipulated Dr. Wily for the first time.
Another plan that Sigma could potentially use is to revive his own generals from the elite/special Robot Masters such as Ra Thor, King, Terra, Sunstar, Quint, Megaman Killers, Dark Man and Doc Robot and give them much stronger and power up by using the Sigma Virus.
I would imagine if Sigma appears in the Classic Timeline, he would’ve look like the Sigma version from the Archie Comics.

Capcom needs to hire you and similar devs to be a MegaMan studio. Such a beloved that really is left to the wayside, yet has such an amazing community trying their hardest to keep the franchise alive. This looks amazing! Wish these awesome projects could be played on consoles. Absolutely love your work here. Such talent! Bravo!
Megaman Unlimited is so nostalgic to me lol. I remember being introduced to it all the way back in 2016 and since then I’ve always wanted there to be a sequel or some kind of continuation of the story (especially because of the Z-Prototype, probably the coolest moment in Megaman history and it’s not even from a real Megaman game) so I can’t wait to play this when it comes out, even if I never played the original.
