Saw some centers use a tub with water and they put the tanks in there... I even saw a center using an old bath tub to cool the cylinders during refill... got a got refill once where before jumping it was 200 bars and then suddenly after jumping in the spg read 180...
Yeah, we used to have proper dunk tanks for filling cylinders where I worked. You'd get your feet wet taking them out but, you got a more reliable fill.
"The Cave to Be" filling station in The Lot region in France uses an actively cooled water bath to fill tanks. It's actively cooled via an attached air conditioner and keeps the water very cold. It works great, both to protect the operator and to get fills that are great for cave diving, like 240 bar in steel tanks.
#askmark Hi Mark! Hope that you are in the best of health. I want to change my current regulator setup to a long hose regulator setup, can you make a video on how to mount the hoses and what are the best length for all hoses?( primary second stage, backup second stage, SPG and BCD inflator hose). One more thing, can I use any first stage to make a long hose configuration? I am using (Mares Abyss 52X and Aqualung Leg3nd Elite) I want to make one of them long hose. Will it work? Or only the 5 port swivel turret regulators can be made into long hose config? Such as (MK25/19 Evo) Thank you for your great videos. Take care and keep well.
#askmark. Can you recommend a bcd and regs for newly cert open water diver me and wife will be diving in uk sea and inland and abroad too , can you a advise us on this minefield of products many thanks rob
Scubapro customer service sucks. They claimed that my g2 computer issues were related to not proper maintenance. I’ve had camera housings for over 15 years without any issues.
#askmark Hi Mark, in my last dive I din't had an antifog spray so I read in the internet that I can use babyshampoo instead. In the dive (after 20 minutes) it started to made a lot of bubbles in my mask and to blow the mask out didn't helped. I felt not really comfortable with that but I didn't want to end this dive, because I had just the possibility to that one dive in this awesome spot. What would you recommend to do in such an situation? Should I stop the dive in this point or should I try to enjoy it next time?
That sounds a lot like you used too much shampoo and/or didn't rinse enough. During the dive, you really only can try rinsing the mask. If it is not too much, then flushing the mask and clearing a few times will help. Otherwise, take off the mask, rinse it thoroughly, and put it back on. Then you are good to go for the rest of the dive.
I'd tell my buddy to hold, take off the mask under water, shake it a few times to rinse it then put it back on. That should get rid of most of the soap.
#ASKMARK This is my list for beginner diver; as iam learning or thinking about. Plus if I want to advance I would hope this list will keep me up to date.? please advise. Saving money & not want to make a costly mistake.
@@Yggdrasil42 it’s at the bottom second part. Plus just realized instead wasting money on a 5mm suit I was thinking of investing for a dry suit & taking the class.
Lots of good stuff 👍

Sounds fancy, we just had some metal tanks filled with a hosepipe where I used to fill cylinders
Hi Mark. Thanks for another great video. #ASKMARK. Would you suggest a backplate and wing over Jacket style BCD for new advance divers.

#askMark can you please compare the Teric and their Perdix 2 and highlight any different features? Thanks very much.

Sorry Mark, when is the video of top 10 wing and backplate BCDs coming out?
#ASKMARK what is the best reel for mapping a site ? 100 meters long
G2 is colorcustomizable, but is not vibration capable.

What happens if you forget to put your regulator in dive mode and do a full dive in pre dive mode ?
Nothing. Your work of breathing will be a little higher but chances are you won't even notice the difference unless you do some hard work under water.
I am used G2 and its big disappointment. I am fast sell it. I am now used ratio iX3M its better, but I want to try some new and I will order perdix 2
Why is it a disappointment for you?
