Computers have always been extremely vulnerable, especially when people sacrifice security for convenience for example a home network (or cloud hurr hurr fancy newage words) on wifi is an inherent risk, but people think they're safe because the companies say they are, hence the shock when people find out they can easily be hacked.

Firstly cell phones sim cards are their own fully fledged computers controlled by the cellular network. They are surprisingly more secure than most tech but have still been hacked or vulnerabilities found. Secondly, no digital security (encryption) is ever truly secure. We are reaching a singularity point where the current ways of encrypting data (public key/private key encryption) is going to be mute. Thirdly, hacking is not really a bad thing. A lot of the technology we have been accustomed to have been hacked together, or have some small cleaver hack (Even down to the mathematics!) to get stuff to work.

I said hackers is the community of programmers, he just re-worded that, and added the maker community to the definition, which is usually the same thing, if you could actually read, you would have gotten that. Just to put it out there it's a B.S. in CSc with a concentration in cyber security, not a CS in CS, that just sounds stupid.

i use to hack close to 20 years ago, it was extremely fun. back then there was no security or anti virus stuff barely. the more security came out the less i did it and more difficult it was. you have to make it your life to keep up with it. being a teen i had alot of free time. you go out of the loop for a few months and you lose a few months worth of updates. the more that everyone in the world got pc's the harder it became. was fun while it lasted lol
