Really enjoyed that. I know this was the Pod, but brings back fond memories of the early 80's at Long Marston.
BEST STORY IVE WATCHED IN A LONG WHILE. SEEING THE DEDICATION AND RESOLVE THAT IT TAKES, TO DO WHAT WE LOVE TO DO, DRIVES ME TO PUSH EVEN HARDER AND TO CONTINUE TO CONSTANTLY RAISE MY OWN BAR OVER AND OVER AGAIN. REMINDS ME WHY I DROP EVERY NICKEL AND OUNCE OF ENERGY INTO THIS SPORT. THERE IS NOTHING BETTER. WELL DONE, AND THANK YOU TO ALL WHO WERE A PART OF THIS PROJECT. GODSPEED.
A great documentary. I was glued from the start. Congratulations to everyone who was involved in the making of this film.
From Red Victor 1 to Red Victor beast Mode! WoW! Andy, you were on the Moon when I saw your car on Fifth Gear, now you left the galaxy!
Shane T's commentary and insight into the dedication behind this obsessive project is very addictive. That man should be a science teacher.

Awesome Vid...............................
7-4 swap cam am I the only one who got that way before them?
How many drag strips are over there ? 3 or 4?
Good stuff.
This is drag racing 100% You work on the car for days.Just for a few sec of fun on the weekend :) It's worth it. And I'v been to 1000's of races and the only car I'd see is the one im working on :( Be nice to watch some races :)
True but you're still a lucky guy. If it weren't for 4 kids in college and one still in high school and the fact that we have to eat...I'd be right there with ya! Love this sport!
tideivlife1 I have 3 boys 1 girl and after my sister inlaw passed away we now have her young son.So I hear what you are saying.I cant race on the lvl I once did but I can still have a fast car for cheap to go to the track with. And we do it as a family. Even when I had no car to run we would go to the track on rundayfunday and just watch. You can still have your foot in the door even if you cant race your own car.Take the wife and go watch the race and enjoy :)
It's gonna take a deep 5 to bury this record deep enough to hold on to it.... The truck broke the record on a 1200ft pass and the sick second camaro is trying to be the mid 5 camaro at the next drag week
Great doc. Maybe I missed it while the kids were chasing the dog through the room, but how can they hold the "world's" record if the guy they met in the final consistently runs 6's?
I could watch these docs all day...and I might just do that today. The grass can wait.
The record is for 'Street Legal Car', most (if not all) of the other cars at that event are track only race cars.
Unfortunately Andy Frost no longer hold the world record. Larry Larson and his street legal Chevy S-10 ran 5.950@244.45 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on November 23rd 2014.
But both Andy and Larry are going to have some stiff competition in 2015. Tom Bailey is building/testing Project Sick 2.0, a street legal Pro-mod Camaro that Tom said should run 5.50 in the 1/4mile, do 300mph in the standing mile, and survive & win Hot Rod Drag Week 2015.
... to be continued ...
***** The Kanoo Supra is super fast but they never claimed to be street legal. Andy (and Larry and Tom) race on the track AND drive on the street.
***** The 'Supra10.5' that ran 5.97 is not the same Supra that Kanoo raced/drove on the street. It's a race car built to run in the 'Outlaw10.5' class. It will never be driven on the street.
To be street legal you need to be registered and insured for public road use in your country/state. Laws vary from place to place but usually the bear minimun is lights (head/break/turn), rain wipers, horn.
Ebrahim Kanoo and his team have built an amazingly fast Supra drag car, especially considering that they did it with a six-cylinder 2jz motor, it's just not a street legal car like Andy's Red Victor 3.
***** Keep in mind that 'Street legal' is not a class, just something to brag about.
***** IMHO To have any real chance Andy must do something with the car's body. The Vauxhall Victor as is has the aerodynamic properties of a brick.
I'm in it at the end the one with the blonde hair lol
And you're what age now?
Well lets not go Krazy saying fastest street car in World because he's in Mid 6s..Jeff Lutz, Tom Bailey & Larry Larson have All been much faster And drive there cars on public streets for 1000s of miles..With that said, this was a really good documentation of how this goes over there in England..I love the car & Mid 6s is still Krazy Fast🎸
Spencer Lee red victor has done a 5.95
feel the need :)

street legal? Try to get a street license in germany 😉 the TÜV man would be get an heart accident 😊
Georg Herzner THats the problem with this claim. "fastest street legal" from country to country is so different.
+Gee Zed Eee Power sooooo when the r32,33,34 gtr were illegal in several countries, doesn't that mean the same by you two logics...!
Outlaw
To a point i guess.
That's two noob moves guys, c'mon smh
Shane talks a load of bollocks
Prop's guys, but you need to go back to work...see Larry Larson S-10....6.16 @ 236mph
Andy has recently revealed that he is aiming for a 5.9, the car should be ready mid to late 2015....
