- DJI Updated the Firmware of the Mini 4 Pro to v01.00.0300 along with DJI fly app 1.12.4 to bring some huge new features such as Vision assist, Support for goggles 2 and Integra, and a new Auto active track 360 feature, Not to mention new firmware for the RC2 and RC-N2 controllers, check out the video for my take on this amazing update

How does remote ID play into this new update..no one I've watched yet has even mentioned it strangely?

vision assist .... if you are flying indoors etc etc the low ambient light disables obstacle avoidance therefore this can be useful to look around to get back to home / take a niche video or picture / or if flying at dusk and find the obstacle avoidance was there one minute and not there the next..... can be useful to avoid a collision

Thanks Gavin, yes it's windy, my recycling bin tumbled along the road, leaving its content in 200 yards of blackthorn hedge.
Turning off downward-pointing sensors? Brilliant! My drone crashed flying low over a maize crop because the big dew-soaked leaves triggered landing mode, which dumped it, leaving me with a long cold wet walk, testing "Find my drone" mode. It worked, the drone was undamaged - and the footage was terrific.

Hi gavin , not related to this drone ,but I havnt flown my mavic air 2s for a while I went to fly it , it did a massive update lost all my saved settings , ie (normal) yaw/ speed settings and similar setting in sport mode settings , did you do a video can i hell fund the drop-down to reset them i ad to land it j the end in fact thsg as a task aswell bringing both sticks down it went off on one. So uneducated yo do a ful reset Il of settings if youv any links I'd be greatfull Thsnks mate. Great contrntvas usual Thsnks. Gor keeping us up to date
My preferred way to catch my drone from my moving sailboat is to set it to hover in front at shoulder height and when the boat catches up to it, it’s easy to catch since while immobile the sensors are not actively avoiding any object coming its way. And if I can’t catch it I simply fly it backwards and try again.
I just did the update but also had to update the batteries one by one.
After the update, check the different settings as well. My jpg&raw was on jpg and my frame rate was on 30 while I always have it on 25, my white balance was on automatic while I always use 5500K manual and so on.
Ah yes Ronald I should have mentioned that settings can change after a FW update

One update I was hoping for was adjustment of the zoom speed and buffering control,maybe something in the next update..

Today, I judged the wind speed to be too high by watching recycling bins tumbling along the road.
Greetings Gavin - Believe it or not I just bought a Mini 4 Pro (before the clock strikes Jan 1, 2024) and lovin' it except for the fixed aperture limitation. I've not let it update its really really old firmware yet since it doesn't have the 120 meter height lock. Thailand lists EASA on its drone laws website so not sure if I'm going to be height locked when I update to current firmware. OTOH I really want these new features. It also seems there's no way to revert back to earlier firmware versions. From DJI forums they apparently no longer make available previous versions. Also, not seeing any workarounds online. What are your thoughts? Merry Christmas young fella!
Oh my days I’m so sorry I did see your message briefly the other day I will reply properly soon! Basically yes you can opt out of the C0 label and the hight limit if you want :) you are right there is no way to go back but as I say you can opt out and allow higher flights but you if you’re sticking to the rules lose the C0 freedoms. Hope this clarifies and congratulations on the new purchase it’s an amazing machine!
@@GAVINHR Thanks for the quick reply. Thailand doesn't have the sub-250 gram no-registration category, or C0, C1, C2, etc. I think the small drone category is anything less than 2 kg. Any drone with a camera must be registered no matter how tiny. All drones must have 3rd-party coverage insurance, which I just had to buy. I'm aware of the C0 label but since I'm outside of EU not sure if I can unregister it here to remove the 120 meter height lock, if it actually exists here. Thailand's legal height is only 90 meters anyway as the government is really really anti-drone. I'll probably roll the dice and update the firmware tomorrow and see what happens. Wish me luck!
