I find myself not sleeping as well as I used to, ptsd hits hard recently and nothing ever shuts down the thoughts and flashbacks, but Minecraft music does calm my anxiety down a lot. My memo is loading.. When my brothers and I watched RUclips, they saw a video titled: 'Minecraft started #1' and knew about that legend. I still remember, one evening my brother downloaded and played it like 2 weeks later taught me to play. The first world I joined was survival mode, the first block I broke was grass and earth, when I learned more I built my first house, when I built the first one with music on, I didn't like it. because I'm only interested in my first home. Now I wish I could go back to that time and build more houses with this music
Rather than disconnecting to the world, I feel it's like reconnecting to the more important parts of it and to let yourself feel it in a more deeper and sincere way. Nature and the enjoyment of the toil and sweat of your body can be a releasing thing.
Why does this game invoke such strong feelings of melancholy in me. It’s just a simple sandbox game, but it tells the stories of millions of little kids who don’t understand the world, ready for anything and everything that comes their way. What exactly happened to change that in me. What made us stop asking our friends to have play dates and go on our Minecraft world together. Why did anything have to change. I don’t know if I’m happy now, im in a relationship now with the most wonderful girl in the world, but when im alone all I feel is the need for that innocence I had then, the need to be carefree. This game is magical
at this point, these songs no longer remind me of the game itself, but just the comforting feeling of momentary solitude and peace. the memories of endless uncharted, unclaimed lands have morphed into an deep excitement for the infinite potential for creation in this lifetime. i want to go, take this inspiration and run about with my life, but the little spirit inside me whispers to sit down for another hour and three minutes and just enjoy this experience. i think i'll be returning here more often :)
Your friend invites you to his house for the weekend. They turn on the console and get lost playing... 5pm, 6pm, 7pm and it starts to rain. They stop playing for a while to have dinner and finally return to play for a while longer and sleep. Good memories ;)
