I never was a trained or great dancer but have always loved to move to the music to express the feelings that the beat/cadence evokes. My hip is calcified after a fall (movement is stiff and causes pain) but I still dance to music that I love, that makes me move and brings me joy. This, I will never lose and so the words of the Master of Dance to the teachers are TRUE and IMPORTANT.
When I look at the face of the LuiFuYang when he dances I see him often singing along, I suspect that is how he is so sensitive to the cadence of the dance. His smile expresses the joy I think he feels and communicates. In other pieces his face seems to show meditation and calm. Not everyone can have the great skill he does, he has studied and trained most of his life and works hard to teach and support others to dance. However we can have and keep the joy of dance throughout times of happiness and sadness whether as celebration or solace.
He was absolutely right to remind the teachers not to place technique over the passionate joy of dance. To rob the children of the joy of dancing, in whatever form, is to take from them something which can enrich their whole life.

Thank you for uploading this and eng sub. Once again the Master Of Dance is talking about the joy of dance as something to be cherished not swayed aside by emphasis on technical excellence. One can dance for the joy of it even if old and, like me, disabled by injury - it is a lifelong benefit. Likewise, the passion and the cadence of the music give the dancer the understanding of why certain movements or positions are right. Often when watching him dance his arms and hands are the most expressive of the mood of the dance and always elegantly in the body line making the dance so charming. What a great inspiration not only to the dancers, but also their teachers. Kudos and thank you again for uploading.
