Before you start investing, it's crucial to understand the basics of investing, different asset classes (stocks, bonds, real estate, etc.), and the associated risks. are you investing for retirement, buying a home, or building an emergency fund? Your goals will help shape your investment strategy.
Don't put all your eggs in one basket. Diversification means spreading your investments across different asset classes (stocks, bonds, real estate) and within those classes (different companies or industries). This helps reduce risk.
I Invest in low-cost index funds or ETFs that track broad market indices, such as the S&P 500. These funds offer diversification across a wide range of stocks and can be a more passive, low-maintenance investment option. They are suitable for investors who prefer a hands-off approach and want exposure to the overall market.
I'm very cautious about giving specific recommendations as everyone's situation varies. Consider independent financial advisors like "Vivian Jean Wilhelm" I've worked with her for some years and highly recommend her. Check if she meets your criteria.
My advice to new investors: Buy good companies stocks and hold them as long as they are good companies. Just do this and ignore the forecasts and market views which are at best entertaining but completely useless.
The key to big returns is not big moving stocks. It's managing risk in relationship to reward. Having the correct size on and turning your edge as many times as necessary to reach your goal. That holds true from long term investing to day trading.
I totally agree; I am 66 years old, recently retired, with approximately $1.2 million in external retirement funds. I am debt free and have very little money in retirement funds compared to the total value of my portfolio over the past three years. To be honest, I didn't do all this alone, but with the help of a financial advisor. Having one is currently the best way to trade in the stock market, especially for people nearing retirement.
Is there any chance you could recommend who you work with? I've wanted to make this switch for a very long time now, but I've been very hesitant about. I'll appreciate any recommendation.
Finding financial advisors like Sophia Maurine Lanting who can assist you shape your portfolio would be a very creative option. There will be difficult times ahead, and prudent personal money management will be essential to navigating them.

Steve. Can you do a video about "Wash Sales". How does that affect with the wheel strategy. I was informed by Charles Schwab that they are applying wash sales on positions with 30 days into your new position under the cost basis. Can you dive into it about this topic and what would be correct way of buying stocks / etf and anything that applies to this.

True, I've been through the 'bonds are beating stocks' periods since the 90s but only listen to my financial advisor. I can easily handle a worst-case 80% stock crash and At 46, my portfolio has yielded far more than I expected for my retirement, almost $3m.

Good video Steve. So question on the timing, can you do sell both CSP and CC at the same time, or are you suggesting selling CSP first, then selling CC once those shares are assigned?
For a put or covered call, can shares be assigned at any point during the contract (any point in the 39 days in your example), or does assignment happen only on the final day of the contract?

This is a great beginner's tutorial; I am really interested in selling options and I've watched a bunch of videos, and this is the first time I can really say I get it! I'll have to watch it a few times to feel confortable but you explain very well. I have a question, I already own more than 100 shares of SCHD in a Rollover IRA account with Fidelity, would that be considered a taxable account? If I was to use this account, I would treat any gains as dividend and I would use the drip to grow the account and not spend it. Thank you in advance.
Thank you! Since a Rollover IRA is a tax-advantaged account, any gains or dividends you earn within it won’t be taxable until you start making withdrawals. Great plan to use DRIP to grow your account!
Quick question, lets say the cash put has a strike price of $185 and on expatriation day the stock price is way lower for example $175. What happens then? Will i get 100 shared at 185$? And loose $10 on each share? Or will i get 100$ shares at $175

Hello Dave!! I just found your videos and would like to understand the difference between 401k contributions and Roth IRA contribution. Which one is the best? Thank you so much for the information you are sharing with us 🤗
i get mixed replies from other's on RUclips who post videos on selling cash covered put's about how much i can generate a month from $100k to invest. What is your thoughts ? I want to make $5k or more a month.
Generating $5,000 a month from $100k through cash-secured puts is ambitious, but with the right strategy and market conditions, it can be achieved. Many investors aim for a reasonable monthly return while managing their risks.
@Steve | Call to Leap Thanks for the amazing video. Looking towards your next video in this series. Would love to hear regarding the Greeks for this strategy or even just basic technical analysis
I've been quite unsure about investing in this current market, but at the same time, I feel it's the best time to get started. I heard some guy speaking about making over a million dollars from a $300k capital, and I'm driven to ask what skillset and strategy can generate such profit?
You should avoid impulsive decisions driven by short-term fluctuations. It's important to prioritize patience and have a long-term perspective. Most importantly, consider financial advisory for informed buying and selling decisions. I think a lot of people minimize the importance of counsel until their own feelings become overwhelming. A few summers ago, after a protracted divorce, I needed a significant push to keep my firm afloat. I looked for licensed advisors and found someone with the highest qualifications. She helped my reserve increase from $160k to $890k despite inflation.
Her name is Jennifer Maria Lanza, a well known authority in this field. I would recommend looking into her credentials because she has a great deal of expertise and is a great resource for anyone looking for advice on how to navigate the financial market.
As someone who 's spouse has ADHD(official diagnosis + Aspergers (has not been diagnosed but has all the symptoms) life lis extremely frustrating and not fun because everyone works around him and not the other way around. And things do get worse as a person gets older.

Impressive video coverage watching the market's ups and downs shows how quickly things can change. In the market, strategic, informed trading isn't a choice; it's a must. Remember, caution is as crucial as ambition here. This dedication to continuous learning is inspiring...managed to grow a nest egg of around $87k to a decent $246k... I'm especially grateful to Aaron tactics and strategies.

Thanks a lot for the recommendation. I'll send her an email and I hope I'm able to connect with her.
Do you buy Amazon stocks first that’s this work with Roth IRA
Yes, you can buy Amazon stocks first, and using the Wheel Strategy can work within a Roth IRA as long as you follow the account’s trading rules!

Yes, For steady growth, you could look into well-known stocks like Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, or try broad ETFs like the S&P 500 (SPY) or Vanguard's Total Stock Market (VTI).

i get mixed replies from other's on RUclips who post videos on selling cash covered put's about how much i can generate a month from $100k to invest. What is your thoughts ? I want to make $5k or more a month.
Generating $5,000 a month from $100k through cash-secured puts is ambitious, but with the right strategy and market conditions, it can be achieved. Many investors aim for a reasonable monthly return while managing their risks.

You seem to know the market better than we do, so that makes great sense. Who is the guide you worked with?
Her name is Jennifer Maria Lanza, a well known authority in this field. I would recommend looking into her credentials because she has a great deal of expertise and is a great resource for anyone looking for advice on how to navigate the financial market.
She appears to be well-educated and well-read. I ran an online search...
Great great video. And thanks for posting and educating!
You got it!
As someone who 's spouse has ADHD(official diagnosis + Aspergers (has not been diagnosed but has all the symptoms) life lis extremely frustrating and not fun because everyone works around him and not the other way around. And things do get worse as a person gets older.
Where are you from?
Great video, Steve. Where were you when I first learned about trading? I’ve learned so much from your videos.
Glad to help!
Amazing video, you work for 40yrs to have $1M in your retirement, meanwhile some people are putting just $10K into trading from just few months ago and now they are multimillionaires, thanks Brooke Miller
I'm surprised that you just mentioned and recommended Brooke Miller, I met her at a conference in 2018 and we have been working together ever since.
The very first time we tried, we invested $1000 and after a week, we received $5500. That really helped us a lot to pay up our bills.
She is my family's personal broker and also a personal broker in many families I'm United States, she's a licensed broker and a FINRA AGENT in United states
I'm new at this, please how can I reach her?
I just withdrew my profits a week ago, To be honest it was an amazing feeling when the profits hits my wallet I wish I could reinvest but, too much bills
None of this makes sense, and please don't use the world's " EASY " AND " IT WILL ALL MAKE SENSE " when spending to beginners, this is a foreign language to 90 % of people.
