Chances are that it will be the latest version that you can get in the shops now - it's by Orange Hippo and you'll see an orange hippo (lol!) and the letters OH on the back of the box. Good luck!
@@TarotThrones Does the UV Glaze hold up well? The idea of having more durability interests me a lot, but my glossy lamination Mary El one started to peel so quickly and came with some bubbles from factory, so it made me wonder if it'd be worth it to get the UK edition instead of the american one for the UV, despite it being considerably pricier here in my country. I'd be willing to pay extra for a deck that will last me more, so I figured you'd know better since you've been using it for years haha.
I love scottish accents so much 💚 I have the V3 US, no glaze for me. I think that's just strange one has it and the other doesn't. Different publishers but still, the card quality should match. I wish the cards were a bit thicker. Nonetheless I love my wildwood. It feels like an old friend long lost has returned. It's very special to me. And I've just gotten it a while ago. But just the deck interview spread in itself was very emotional. Love this deck
I loved the video, congratulations .. I bought a version that does not come with the explanatory book, you would know from somewhere that has the book to download, thank you very much, very successful and luiz for you, kisses
Hi Christiana - if you have bought the deck second hand and it has become separated from its book, that's a pity because the book is not sold separately from the deck. There are counterfeit decks available - you will be able to recognise them because the cards come in a box that is the same size as the deck (rather than the legitimate copy which comes in a box which is larger than the deck, to take the accompanying book into account). So be careful out there! :) There is no legit source for the book to be downloaded, I'm afraid. Mostly to counteract the counterfeiters. However, if you buy the Wildwood Tarot app, the contents of the book are mostly included. Hope this helps :)
Oh, I thought there are 2 versions.. I have the first version English. And the German edition ... Now I think I need the UK third edition as well because of the UV coating :/
Is there a way to tell, when buying online, which version you are buying? For example, does each one from Eddison have a different ISBN? If so, would you be able to list the three different codes please? That would be fab. Thanks
As far as I am aware, they have the same ISBN number, Forest Fairy. If buying second hand, the best thing to do is focus on one or two identifying features. For example, a plain back will be V1. If it it has a tree image on the back, it must be V2 or V3 etc. That's why I made the video, to show where the differences are, to help people when they are buying. If you are buying a pre-owned deck, the video should help you ask the right questions to work out which deck is being sold and, more importantly, whether it's the one you want :)
@@alisoncross2399 Thanks for answering my question Alison. I was looking at buying new but wasn't sure whether the seller I plan to use would have V2 or 3 in stock. I think they use a lot of suppliers and don't buy in what you order until you make the purchase so it would be a difficult thing for them to answer. I will keep everything you've said in mind. At the moment it is the Gaian Tarot I am trying to locate at a price I can afford so this one will have to wait a little while I think.
@@forestfairy7747 - chances are, if you are buying new, now, and from a source that has quite a good turnover in the UK, it will be the most up to date version that you are buying. Unfortunately, there is no way to tell, just from the outside of the box :/ If it's from a little shop, where stock may linger for a while, it may be an older one. So even if they can let you know when the deck was purchased, it might help you? :)
You're an absolute savior, I was wondering about which version to get and didn't think I'd be able to find anyone talking about the differences!

Thankyou for the overview. I have seen an Orange Hippos UK version too. I am very tempted while it's on sale!

Wat? I didnae ken there were different versions!
Thank you for this comparison.
I have the last version and I wish I had V 2 as I am not a fan of shinny cardstock. 😅
