So lots of people saying her reaction was better than Abuela’s and it definitely was, but also I think that the idea that people without gifts would be the candle holder just in general is a great idea because that gets rid of any sadness that comes with not having a gift Just in general it’s a great idea and it gets rid of all the pressure Mirabel had to be a working member of the family
The fact that mirabel could learn after becoming the candle holder after Abuela passes that a disappearing door isn’t bad, just means their door already exists as the candle holders room is super sweet to me
I can't believe that Mirabel's daughter is the owner of the new candle, and I was happy when I saw Mirabelle's dealings with the owner of the new candle

Imagine if the girl told all her friends that she was going to be a candle holder, but her friends decided to stop being friends with her because they were jealous. This will be important in my story of how I think it would be like in this au so remember it. Afterwards, they start to bully her. This left a mark while she grew up. As her training to be the candle holder went on, sadly Mirabel died a peaceful death (old age). Because of Julieta"s healing, she didn't get hurt. I think the girls name would be Tina. Tina would become the candle holder. Her nephew, Oscar would always comfort and be nice to everyone. This reminded everyone of Mirabel so they didn't spend too much time with him because of this, but they still showed love. Oscar was getting close to 5 years old. Tina started to think about what she would do if Oscar didn't get a gift. Would she be like Mirabel and train him to be a candle holder or not do what Mirabel did and instead let him live a good life without a gift. But, of course it wouldn't always turn out good. He could not only get bullied from the first option, but he would be also be treated differently and disliked in the second option. The decision was hard, but in the end, Tina chose to do the second because she didn't want what happened to her to happen to Oscar. The day came and he didn't get a gift and of course he was sad, treated differently, and disliked by few, but his family still loved him. Tina chose her niece to be the candle owner in the end because her gift was to be able to make anything even without a tutorial. This made it easier for others with their tasks. Oscar is a year older than the niece. He was pretty much an older brother for her. Same with him, she was like a little sister for him. He wasn't sad or anything that she was chosen to be the candle holder because of her gift or that she even got one. He was too proud to think about that. This took me about 10 minutes or so and nobody needed to hear this idea I had. But, I still shared it. I also wanted to say that you (creator) don't have to do anything with this idea of mine. I'm not saying I want a part 2 or anything. I just wanted to share it. Also, this is just how I think it would go. Sorry if it's confusing. I was lazy while making this.
This feels like it defeats the point of what Mirabel went through cause that would be a story told for generations. Please note it's just an opinion and know your idea isn't bad. ;v;

Let me explain(in my own PoV): The day they receive their gifts are when they're really young. The candle was only passed down to Mirabel when Abuela passed away/ is too old to carry the responsibility. Thus, her having no room. If we add the "logic" from the movie, Mirabel does have a door, it's just that it's the Casita's big entrance. Her gift is keeping her family together! Casita is like her own room. However, another added theory by mine is that she could've gotten a room, although Isabela and Abuela has hatred/negative feelings towards Mirabel so it wasn't formed. I guess.
why can i imagine mirabel with her future grandchild that got no door just completely bursting out yelling "YOOOOO WE GOT A NEW CANDLE HOLDER CONGRATSS BROOO"
I love how Mirabel was so nice about it unlike her Abuela. Her Abuela was so rude to her about not getting a Gift. Luckily, in the Madrigal family, not getting a Gift means you become the next head Abuela practically and you eventually become the Candle Holder which is what gives everybody their Gifts.
It took 3 generations for a new holder to be born, so I assume it’d go the same way once Mirabel is the matriarch - one of her grandchildren would be the new holder and yk yk Like in this, Mirabel would handle it way better than Alma did. She would accept that she’d die in 25 years HC: Whenever a madrigal without a gift turns 30 the current matriarch would die, having the madrigal without the gift as the new matriarch. New gift less madrigal would come every 3 generations, like I said
The fact that Isabella's lullaby is playing makes it 10 times better. Isabella wanted to escape but couldn't. Seeing others in her pain made her feel empathetic in a way. So she'd make them feel a way that she couldn't/hadn't so they wouldn't have to feel the pain she did
