The focusser probably tried to focus on the "snow" flying around 😉. As you know from my setup this topic is way over my head. But I still enjoyed following you how you dig into a theme and don't give up until you find a solution! Respect!
BTW: Beautiful pictures 🤩! The Cygnus-area just amazes me again and again just for the number of stars in any singe frame you take, no matter what focal length you use. And then for me that's part of the magic of astrophotography: How suddenly these nebulae start appearing the more pictures you take and stack. Thanks for the video!

Thanks Stefan! It's frustrating when a $100 Go-Pro knock-off can stay in focus through anything, but a Nikon DSLR struggles with video of a fixed target... Cygnus is great! I'm hoping to re-visit the Crescent next clear night. Clear Skies!

Well done for getting the mount to guide great job & the images came out great to. I'd probably be inclined to get or build some sort of adjustable wedge & maybe use the Celestron tripod for better stability. As you say balancing needs to be sorted to but very impressed for a first light of it.

Thanks Tich, I appreciate the comment! I've been looking for a heavier duty tripod with a tilt head that could double as the 'wedge' portion. Looking through the cheap ads to see what I can find ;) CS!

Awesome work congratulations, my question is why do you required equatorial alignment to do this, is not possible with the others alignments in nextstar +

Hi Julio, the mount has to be in equatorial mode in order to counter field rotation and allow for long exposure imaging. The only alignment method to polar align when on a wedge is Equatorial (EQ North or EQ South depending on which hemisphere you are in.
