The clip of La Danza from the movie Serenade even better...if that is possible! Love how he holds the final note on that one in true Mario Lanza bravado!

In this film, a Spanish actress named "Sara Montiel" is the attractive woman sitting by the table when the scene opens, in which Lanza sings "O Paradiso". Sara or Sarita Montiel was a very famous and beloved folk singer and actress in Spain during the 1950s in to the mid-1980s. Se passed away in 2013.
At this time his voice was more flexible and clearer, so better for this specific song. Later, his voice became darker and havier, a beautiful timbre, but not so good in this song, as we can check on the movie Serenade.
@@ursmue1937 I believe the immediate cause of his death was a strange weight-loss therapy. The studio demanded him to diet for his movies, and as soon as they were shot he’d start gaining again. Very unhealthy.
His face was still the same as in his previous two films, but physically he's heavier. His studio kept forcing him to lose weight, and they began to fight. His next film was a fun film, "Because You're Mine", when he was in the army, and the next one was "The Student Prince", where he didn't appear (Edmund Purdom appeared in his place) but he recorded all the songs for the soundtrack. His voice sounded tired. The studio suspended him, thank you very much!
pues le invito a no escucharlo jamás, esta versión es cinematográfica y no para estudio , por lo tanto sensacionalista y solo muestra los grande dotes de tenor de este inmenso artista.

Yes! Very true.
What movie is this
"The Great Caruso". His third film, as I recall. Life was still good.
Вокал высшей пробы
Voz sin arreglos eximio
You can see his problem with up and down weight here. His face is positively thin, and in other photos almost bloated.
Ransom Coates - What do you mean by that ? Do you want to see the big Lanza, or do you want to talk about diets ?
pav. siempre estuvo hinchado.
