Crouching Tiger hidden dragon 2 😂 I can never pack Lite the preparer in me won't allow it. always impressive to see such a small of gear. I guess you prove the British army wrong when they say "pack light don't sleep at night" thanks for sharing 👍👍
absolutely spot on old chap couldn't agree more you tube armchair snipers come out in the open banging vid definitely do able id be all mat bag keep warm keep dry if you can stay mobile cover ground ideal coastal long distance kit for the average joe ,that's my comment if any one don't like it ill see you in the Bar btw Mr. Scissors was AWOL again
Id like to leave a negative comment and say all this cuppa tea marlarky needs to stop get it out of your system by the end of the year lad give it the boot it deserves. LOVE this setup man, keeping it minimal is always enjoyable especially in these warmer months before all the heavy kit returns.
The more knowledge you have, the less you need to carry. I like this type of pack out. I now have much the same in my Karrimor SF 30lt Predator. Good combat skills in this video too, Des 😆👍🏼
Love it matey and thanks for the mention! Great to you see your lightweight kit and looking forward to seeing how it fares on an overnighter. I need to get out and film some more, hopefully very soon. I really like that Guinness can windshield - made me smile every time it appeared in shot 🙂
Cheers Joe no worries Yeah certainly going to test it on an overnight camp Yeah the Guinness shield works pretty well and you can legitimately drink a couple of beers to make one 😉
Great videos, Mr Cattys ,allways very amusing and informative and light-hearted, If you are giving autographs I would love one or two on blank cheques maaaate😂 remember I'm your top fan.
Ah i recognise those deadly moves there, the ancient Northern Mountain Martial Art of Ecky Thump. You may not have your traditional flat cap on your swede but ive little doubt you have a black puddin hidden about your person, deadly Sir Deadly 😉👍🏻 Great stuff Des, amazing how much kit you can get in a smaller pack given a little thought 👍🏻
Very nice Des, I have my NI patrol pack so will set it up for a light camp... Cheers for the inspiration and see you for another camp soon Sugar Tats...lol
Really enjoyed that one des 👍food for thought. Sleeping bag i use is aiegesmax packs tiny weight is only 260g had it down to freezing with bivvy bag great bit of kit take a look at it
Sleep system... for the warmer months, i use a light up to the waist bag, and my thin insulated jacket, which I'd take anyway, for a cooler evening, inside a bivi bag if necc.
@descattysBushcraftbydescattys for the warmer months, yeah. For colder, just the same, just higher rated bag and jacket. I had an old doss bag I cut in half and stitched up, with a draw cord.... saves half the weight and size.
Nice little setup Des but i would have to have my roll mate to sleep on I've not done a lightweight camp for ages this might inspire me to do it atvb Jimmy 😎😎👍👍
Alright Des, just a little tip bud, your net basha bag, having the zip as you have it could get caught in a branch and be pulled undone possibly resulting in loss of tarp 🤔
Excellent video Des. I’m constantly reducing weight due to knackered knees. What bivi and sleeping bag are you including and what sort of temp is it comfortable for. Thanks in anticipation
Thank you The bivi bag is just a cheap generic one from mountain warehouse, though I may change it and use the sf bivi bag from snugpak, the sleeping bag is just a throw over quilt that was an old sleeping bag 👍
Oscar I thought you Brits got BAFTAs …Sawyer is always a good add and you can take the extra weight of a folding plastic cup…don’t want to burn your acting lips. Have fun stay safe.

So many bags. I stuff everything directly into backpack and side pouch.
