@@bananarobotoverlord seems to be alright in the hundred odd machines I’ve used it in. You can always dilute the strength with soapy water if you you want to start slow

So do you just spray the whole thing down with Simple Green or do you make a bath of Simple Green and dunk the entire typewriter and if so for how long? How do you deal with flash rust? Thanks
This was a pretty clean looking machine too. I’ve seen way worse. Simple Green. A shower and a blow dryer.
Is Simple Green safe for rubber? I really don't want to take apart too much stuff on mine.

How can one make sure no moist will remain?
I use a hot hair dryer right after this step. It fully dried in under one minute
