I felt like I was in the movie. That one part where we approached the falls was right out of the film. To see these characters life size and then come to life was magical, even for a guy in his 40s.
Miryam Hernandez I probably won't be going on again, honestly. XD Because I feel the same way you did when it comes to these things in general. But it was fun the first time because I felt like I accomplished something. XD
I just love the amount of detail and creativity put into this ride, very advanced for the time and still is the most popular for a reason. Amazing job by combining the characters and aspects we love from the first movie, I wanna recreate this with diecasts now! Great time going to Cars Land in August 2012 :)
I never went to Disney, I have always wanted to go but sadly I can't afford it right now, I am grateful for the upload so I can see it and feel like I was on the ride as well. My Dad always wanted to take me to Disney but sadly he passed away a couple of months before my fifth birthday in 1994.
They are pretty cool. I think that, since cars are machines, all they really had to do was worry about facial movement-which they've really improved on lately.
I went on this ride with my family a few years ago and it was great, we had so much fun, but my favourite part about that ride was seeing Doc, I nearly cried, because it was so happy for me to see the legend right there, and I know I’ve made him proud when I did the racing part♥️♥️♥️♥️
I was shocked when I found out that this ride existed. Cars was one of my favorite Disney movies as a kid, and when I heard that they made a ride out of the movie, I was so excited. When I finally got a chance to ride it, it became one of my favorite rides in the entire park. I'm so glad they made this ride.
They did an amazing job on this ride! The characters look, sound, and move exactly like in the movie! I wouldn't be surprised if they actually hired the official voice actors to do the voice clips for it! The ride sure looks fun, too! I gotta try it!
This ride was absolutely magical... Seeing the animatronics was extremely unexpected and I was in complete shock and awe over the course of the entire ride. It was 100% worth the wait.
Beverly Ruano and Nathaniel pajas you know the there is three lines and the very left line is the single rider so joy are going to ride it yourself but it took like 10 or 20 minutes sometimes 5 minutes
Wow. that's a long wait time. also I'm hoping to visit disneyland .CA this November. how can I get a fast pass for that ride. or how early should I get to park at
The ride is a blast, I was absolutely freaked out by the cars though. Seeing something that large with a giant moving bumper as a mouth is quite unsettling
Watching this video when i was younger I thought it was some sort of high technology animations. I did not realise that these were animatronics. Might be some of the best I’ve ever seen?!
I love that new technology they use with the screens on the character's faces/eyes. Gives them such a range of movement while still looking so realistic for eyes. Sebastian in the Little Mermaid ride has them, too. So cool.
I waited 20 minutes last week and that was with "technical difficulties" they had and caused the line to slow down. Try to plan your trip during their slow times. It worked for us. The 20 minute line was the longest line we had.
Simply Amazing, did you see those cars! Such complex and round movement! No freezing, they literally took a detour off the movie scene and jumped into reality!
Same here! My mom thought it was going to be longer than a 5 minute ride, but, it was AMAZING! I really like how you start out on a colored car and you get to start out on a smooth ride... :)
when i was a little child, i was like 6-7 years old at the time when i saw this video, I’ve always fantasised and dreamed of going here, I’m 16 now and till this day, I don’t think I’ll ever get the chance to unfortunately..
I went on this ride when I was around 7 or 8, my family and I went on it so many times they had to tell us to leave. I haven’t been on it since but I really want to go again!! I loved that ride so much.
1:45 was where I screamed because I thought we were gonna crash into Mack. I rode the left lane so I was fortunate to see the Casa Della Tires and that was FRICKING AWESOME (I missed the right lane though which turned out to be the paint shop by Ramone) !! The racing part at the second half reminded me of the California race in the first movie of Cars. Best non-roller coaster ride in my opinion.
Yesssss I went to Disney for the first time last year and we waited in line like at 9 in the night, we had to wait like an hour but it was worth it bc while the ride is going fast, the fresh breeze is always hitting your face and the stars look amazing :) and very funn
I been here for my 14th birthday with my family and I had lots fun on this ride. I waited for 2 hours to go on this ride. I gotta say that all of the animatronics on this ride are amazing and they made it look realistic too.
i swear this ride is the G.O.A.T. yes its a kiddie ride but its disney land and its meant for both adults and kids to enjoy and the amount of work and entails in this ride is mind blowing
The time seems so short when the two cars stop before speeding. When I did this ride it took about a minute or 2 before speeding. Actually the cars did not even talk, they were looking at us in a so creepy way 😂😂😂😂 we did not even know when the cars will start the speeding. That part of the ride was amazing! So hilarious. The person who was next to me and my son could not stop laughing 😂😂😂😂
Solidworkstudios : Except slower. And screens. Too many fucking SCREENS. Universal, at this point, is desperate to get their hands on cash after Disney is beating them left and right. Parks, attractions, animated movies, superheroes... The only reason why Universal hasn’t gone bankrupt yet is because of Harry Potter rides.
A Grammar-Spelling Freak, I agree totally. Any given person could walk into any Universal ride, and think: WHAT? MORE SCREENS? Disney, however, when they do make a simulator, IT STINKS. Star tours wasn’t that impressive. Moral: Practical effects > screens.

I had no idea the voice of Doc Hudson died.

Katy Lepetsos yeah. When he died, so did Doc

You can only imagine where animatronics will go from here.

Wonder what sort of rubber or plastic they use for the animatronics that it doesn't crack after so many cycles. Impressive show
huh good question
Maybe a foam? I don’t know though.
Some foam some rubber
