BNSF Freights Meet At Westmont Station BNSF Chicago West Service

The eastbound train, the train closest to the camera, was either a Local or a Transfer Run. I can never tell the difference! I recorded all these clips at the Westmont Train Station. The eastbound had been hunkered down, and dimmed out, a couple of more miles to the west. It fired up after a Inbound Metra came through. The eastbound took a while to get up to the Station and in the mean time, a long through freight came pushing west. The power met just a couple hundred feet away from me. This three track main line is part of the BNSF Chicago West Service. Westmont is a far west suburb of Chicago and got its name from being the high ground on this rail line. These days, this Station is blasted by all sorts of freight traffic, Metra commuter trains, and Amtrak.
