  • Projectile motion from a merry go round is a special case of projectile motion in three dimension. In general two dimensional motion cases of projectile are already discussed in many ways but this is a specific case when at the time of projection of a body, it also has a tangential velocity due to circular motion.
From the perspective of JEE Main & JEE Advance preparation, this is a very important case to be analyzed for projectile motion from a reference frame in circular motion. For all NEET aspirants also this is a very useful case in building overall understanding of three dimensional motion. In this video Ashish Arora Sir has beautifully described the situation with the help of an animation and his superb explanation.
