It's nice to see this anime finally geting the recognization it deserves, took a year or 2 but it's come.
It was pretty popular in 2019 tho. Rimuru won Crunchyroll's Best protagonist awards that year and it became one of Kodansha's top selling manga and still is now.

It's pretty political tbf. The show i mean. Lots of political issues occur as our boi tries to build his nation. As well as the fact he becomes a badass as typical of isekai.
