I feel like this reflects more EREN post time-skip. On "Shoulders to stand on" you could feel the strong will and hope of a young EREN but here he seems really more introspective and a man who grew up and saw how rotten the world is. Truly one of the bests songs by rustage. And the chorus is so good
"We are all a slave to something. But our freedom is what we decide." On a shot of Ymir! Wow. This is beautifully retelling how Eren let Ymir 'decide' between continuing to follow the orders of royalty (Zeke), and freedom. Amazing!
I feel like it also a call on Eren since *Spoiler* for anime only He used the founding Titan power to make his past self (baby) to crave Freedom thus ironically become a slave to that desire
I feel like there are Rustage songs when he just wants to remind everyone that he can pull of ridiculous rhyme schemes. What's brutal is that the structures filling out those schemes have evolved so much. He pulls off lines where he stops on the ending rhyme just as well as he makes the rhymes fit continuous flowing texts. But honestly, is it just to flex that he can rhyme anything in any styles, anywhere? Not complaining, I'm actually mind blown. I'd love to see the lyrics colour coded for this one, should be akin to a genius toddler's colouring book that's all over the place and at the same time makes perfect sense. Amazing stuff.

Honestly I had low expectations for this comparing it to every other aot raps I've heard. BUT this hits ALL its marks. Not to mention all the lyrics have meaning that contribute to the original series. I genuinely appreciate this a lot.

I love the more introspective or inside-thought looking aspect that you tackle in this song. As I said in my reaction, McGwire really helped set the tone and atmosphere of the song and absolutely murdered the end of the song with how epic and personal his singing felt with the beat. And of course, Rustage did Rustage things and went off with the rhyme schemes and a couple flows that clicked so well. Great lyrics too, and a unique take on an Eren rap compared to the vast majority that I have heard so far.

I'm not gonna lie i was blown out the water with this track. From the way that the beat ebbs and flows with the high points of the track, to the insane rhyme schemes and bars. The hook was insane and the video editing were superb! i Really loved this track a complete banger and is going on the playlist!
