Went to see this tour for a 'laugh'. Expected has-beens who only had one song Love Missile. Expected it to be shino with no one there. How wrong I was. Within seconds my jaw hit the floor. They blew my socks off. Never bounced around as much for an entire show. Bought every album of theirs within the next 5 days.
Assuming this is the gig I went to, and looks like it is based on what they're wearing and comparing this to my photos taken on the night. It's 24th May 2001, supported by Miss Black America and DNA Doll. The Square RIP
Had there first cassette in 1986 flaunt it repurchased it on c.d a few years back but I think I would have rather had a c.d of this show with this song order it sounds great
Someone in the comments said this was probably 2001,but if you look at them live in Tokyo 02' they changed ALOT if this is 01. Martin & Neal had bothed gained some weight & Neal's hair was longer..but i mean i guess people can change alot in 1 year so idk?
I wonder what happened to Sigue Sigue Sputnik. Yes they were bazaar . I just remember the first time I heard them from the movie ferris Buellers Day Off.
They split up eventually☹ Martin has a new band SSS electronic, the new members are pretty freaky looking tho. I saw one gig -Tony & Neal played without Martin & it was pretty good! Neal did vocals surprisingly well. Of course its not the same unless the originals are together. Plus Martin brings a certain flavor. The best I've seen them since the 80's was around 2002,they were all together, i believe it was a small arena in London * they were smoking hot,it was great!( this is in Essex maybe 2001 ?)
No idea where Harlow is or what I was doing on this day - either way I wish I had been there. Just as it should be and in an 'intimate' venue. Spellbinding stuff.

I went to see SSS, this was the line up advertised in the posters but that wasn't who turned up, it was Martin Degville, a fat gay guy on keyboards and a guitarist, I was disappointed they were dreadful
That’s me Lisa Lux. I’m a drummer usually but Tony James asked me to take over from Jenny Z then I left after two years and Jenny took the reigns again. It was GREAT FUN!!
this band is to music that scientology is to religion: a scam, and not trying to hide it like trans-humanism or homosexuality devoid of depth, all methodology
@thespACEchannel you seriously like this music?? IT'S CRAP. Sadly for you, jackass, I read up about these brilliant marketers when the album came out. They actually negotiated a record deal without ever having played an instrument OR played music. AND IT SHOWS. Historical revisionism is fascism.
Hats to them for stretching out the same synth bassline for an hour.
mental how in 2022, this gig was closer to their heyday than this moment in time!
Chunky synths, Dirty riffs, and a very distinctive voice. These peeps never get the love they deserve.
Agree gen x
Nice one Tony great keep it up bit old but so what we all goin downhill me 65
A standout gig. Brilliant performances all-round. #SPUTNiKELiTE
very good guys, and girl....very simply music but very original sounds...image in general the best......BRAVO

This is WOW!🙂
Love this gig, amazing fucking awesome, just discovered on RUclips
I just wish that the entire Albert Hall gig was up on RUclips!
Yes, seconding Trevor. I was at the Albert Hall that night.
I was at that gig with my Rambo Child t shirt!..A good night.
I Love SSS!
Wow sounds great
a reunion with Tony, Ray, Chris and Yana would be nice. make it happen someone!
I mean yeah they're all the originals but honestly aren't needed.. just these 3 and anybody on keyboards will do
This will NEvEr Happen. Neal and Tony hate Degville and never want to meet him once more. sad but true

Thanks for the date! It is that show, and I have the MBA and DNA Dolls sets on the tape too :-)

Listen to the bass running through this 08:00 on. Almost sinister.

Degville would be a great sidekick to Maynard in Puscifer, maybe not in Tool :)
Trop fort la guitare

This is hilarious
i think jenny z was on something at this gig.....
That girl is Lisa Lux operating the effects on Martin’s voice. Took over from Jenny Z. Left the band after two years.
I went to see SSS, this was the line up advertised in the posters but that wasn't who turned up, it was Martin Degville, a fat gay guy on keyboards and a guitarist, I was disappointed they were dreadful
what is the name of the music in minute 35'?
thanks man..no words!!!

Who is the Girl ? It's Not Yana Ya Ya or Jenny Z ...... Who it be ?
It's actually Jenny Z
Jenny Z was with the band from 2001- 2009 (the original chic yana ya ya was with them from 1982-89)
Her name is Lisa. She filled in when Jenny wasn’t available.

Not as cool than original recors. I mean the vocals. Decent.
Is there anyone in the crowd, such a flat atmosphere. SSS look and sound like a bad tribute band playing in a piss poor working mans club.
So sad.
BS! They sound pretty dam good 15 yrs after their original line up..are you better? No or you'd be playing instead of them duh🙄
Gary Yardley approx 30 people showed up ..sad
and you need talent to do this???
It´s all about pop industry, what talent has to do with it?
No, you need talent to be Byhana or Ryoncé.
Well...Tony & Neal are both good guitar players! Are you? Even if you are, you don't have their past success...so buzz off>
