So glad to see others embracing the ez30r. I swear this motor has been overlooked for too long. Yes its more complicated than the ej25 however i feel a properly built ez30 should exceed 1000hp with reliability. Mighty car mods hit 600hp and I feel there is plenty of room to grow.
What a thing of beauty! Cheers from ARIZONA USA! The EZ30 is a beautifully engineered beast. Can't wait to see it running over at Mighty Car Mods! I remember watching the series on the original MCM Liberty build. This new Wagon is going to be awesome!
Love the build. Already been following it on MCM but great to see more detail here. Just need to drop your backing tunes. Juat too loud compared to the voice audio.,
Great vid. Love these engines. I have one on my 3.0R SPEC B. Would love these mods. Only criticism of the video is the backing music is Way Too loud compared to the speaking.
Great video, you just need to check your sound levels between scenes. Music was too loud across the whole thing, but some speaking parts were really quite and others loud. You just need to level out the whole video.
Guys.. what exactly is the main problen on the EZ30 chain tensioners? I have an engine that has a bad rattling noise only when the engine get on temperature (video in my channel) and i disassembled it some days ago. I think it's a bad tensioner... the primary chain was kind of loose on the water pump area. What else clould cause this sound?
Sleeving is ideal if you want huge power, however it significantly increases cost and can give head gasket issues as the sleeves settle and lower within the block. If it's not necessary for a power level we avoid it, however it will ultimately handle more power than without.
@@craigmandall9420 when they mill out the shelf for the insert it releases the stress on the cylinder bore , you end up with about 2 thou tapper from top to bottom so an oversized piston is needed
@@PossumBourneMotorsportwhy an ez30 and not a 36? Is it because that middle cylinder would it be prone to cranking under boost? Is there a dedicated website to find all the parts used or a parts list? Im invested in the ez30/36 platform here in the US we don’t have a bunch of them built.
I’m keen on a “crate engine” price too: but in the mean time prices from there site as of feb 23 are below ! 1. Cnc close deck mod is $1898.00 2. Pbms Baffle sump $ 449.00 3. Ppm rods $ 1898.00 4. ARP head studs $1363.00 Note close deck recommended for + 280kw (at the wheels !!!) let’s go !!
Thanks for having me along, very excited to get the engine running and tuned!
Did you swap to U30 intake cams?
But marty i saw ur gasket plate number on latest midget vid 😱
The world is waiting on this. This is how you make History
Amazing work!!
“gently tapped into the block half” *cuts to b-roll, whack whack with a rubber mallet* 😝
Yeah, i thought they'd at least use a press
So satisfying to see a clean ez30 that isn’t covered in burnt power steering fluid 😂. Speaking from experience

Would be great to see more products available for the ez30’s like adjustable cam gears and camshafts/valvetrain.

Juat u talkin' bout?
English subs would be good as well.
yeah the difference between music and speech level was painfully big
awesome stuff - love this collab. Thanks for posting.

This was a very cool build. Do you have any comment on the valve train clearance/noise issue the engine had?
So nice!

What is the out the door price tag on one of these?
I've seen mention of having them sleeved. Was there a technical reason to not get it sleeved as well as closed decked?

Being New Zealanders, I bet they put the spark plugs in FROM THE SIDE in the style of Richie McCaw entering a ruck....
Was the engine bored oversize, when you close deck a block it opens up the top of the block like a flower and oversize is required
You sure about that. Being that it was an open deck engine i can't see how closed decking it would make it open up

Can I ask how much this cost all up?
Great stuff! What would be the cost for a build like this to same specs?
Got a house to trade?😂... ..by the time you get it all up n running .. plumbed , fitted, wired etc.
@@jackd1582you must not have a house in Melbourne or Sydney! 😆
More tools in that first workshop than at Tuff Street
whats the difference between EZ30 Versus the newer EZ36D ?
About 6D
lol snug fit beats sleeve gaurd in with hammer lol
6 months in the making !!! Marty said it took two days ......
6 months between approaching Marty for this project and him coming over.

now I am seriously thinking about decking a QR25DE
Why I beam rods, h beam would work just as well
Our suppliers helped out on this build and went strain to the top shelf!
This is my dream 🥹😍
The video is great the sound levels music to voice is shocking one minute your talking quietly then you get blasted by the bass geeez no my ears. 🤕
I did subscribe tho so it still a thumbs up
How much $$?

No you didn't. You mostly talked about doing it. Better if you SHOW the rebuild.
Most of the content was exclusively for Marty to post 😉
