Raw linseed oil is food safe, as well as pure tung oil. You can cut it with pure citrus solvent to help the drying time. Problem with food safe mineral, it is not as resilient as the two mentioned. Mind you, you can mix all 3 oils, depending on what you want as an end result. Since linseed and tung can add some amber to the finish. I am in that process to find out what I want and need. You must of seen some others that use bees wax.
