@@derp-7274 With the role, Morrison was also able to bring a bit of his own Maori culture to Fett's portrayal. I want to see these two doing a feature film. Some kind of polyneasian culture meets El Mariachi action direction. Maybe a modern alley fighter with a staff.
I just thought of something people tend to overlook or have the wrong impression about in this whole Boba reemergence: he is not that old. Boba was born 32 BBY, so he's only 41 years old at this point. His looks can be explained by the sarlacc encounter, but it shouldn't be surprising he's still kicking ass like this (btw, Temuera Morrison is 60 years old and totally bringing it; legend).
what you have to remember though is that clones age faster, plus just like the other clones he wasn't ever a baby, he was instead 'born' as maybe like a 15yr old or something, give or take a few.
@@dfsdhjk4780 Most clones do, but as they said in episode II, those genetic modifications and accelerated ageing weren't applied to Boba Fett. I think, in addition to just finally getting to see Boba kick ass on screen, I genuinely appreciate how in one sequence, Temuera Morrison brought some Maori spear martial arts and legitimized the Gaffi Stick as a dangerous weapon. A lot of people throughout the years thought it was a dumb looking weapon from the sand people, but right here he uses it to absolutely destructive effectiveness.
I agree, we've only seen the gaffi stick in A New Hope, the Raider gives Luke a tap with one which knocks him unconscious and that's it. Imagine a gaffi stick made out of Beskar, that would be one hell of a weapon.
@@GRHrivnak Beskar is not for weapons. Beskar is all for the Mandalorians, and a weapon made of it is capable of piercing beskar armor, which not even a lightsaber can do.

That is true brutality, knowing you're about to have your skull crushed in before it happens.

Iirc their armor is designed to protect, much like our modern armor, against the most common warfare threats. In Star Wars’ case, that’s thermal weapons like blasters, where their Plasteel armor disperses the heat energy across the entire armor piece to avoid actual death. However, much like how Kevlar would likely fail against a spear, the Stormtroopers’ armor can’t defend well against other forms of damage.
Temuera is Maori, from Rotorua also of the well known Morrison whanau from there. He is also very adept at Mau Rakau(Maori martial art) and fluent in Te Reo(Maori Language)

If Boba can shatter Stormtrooper Armor with that Tuskin Staff then I can’t imagine what kind of damage he could create with the Beskar Spear or the Darksaber.
Loved this video overall, but I'm old enough to get the warriors movie reference, "empire!! come out and playayy!!" glad to see Temuera Morrison back, kicking ass and taking names. bring on the book of boba fett, can't wait to see it.
In the original trilogy, and even the prequels, we didn't see Fett do much apart from take a few potshots at Luke Skywalker, outsmart him at Jabba's barge, and then 'die'. We always got the impression that here was a character you don't play games with, but we never actually saw why. He looked menacing and deadly and really really cool. Here, we see him absolutely kick ass with his own gaffi stick (at first, I thought a Tusken Raider had tried to kill him after he lost his armour but Fett fought back and took the weapon as a trophy or was maybe given it). When he regained his armour he utterly destroys the stormtroopers without even trying (I was aiming for the other one). THAT is how you make a character tough. Had it ever come down to it, a fight between Boba Fett and Rey would have ended with Rey bleeding her life out as Boba silently walks away, even if he WAS 25 years older.
The empire used to think the blaster was more lethal than all hand to hand combat weapons, till they came across Boba, who fought with the Gaffi stick.
"Here he is! The toughest son of a bitch in the galaxy and BAH GAWD, he came to whip another man's ass!" "Wait, he's supposed to be in the Sarlacc Pit, this isn't fair!"
