Andy is amazing at picking the perfect song riffs for each and every pedal he demos...I'm loving these wren & cuff pedals....I might sell my vintage gear to get some of these reliable pedals!!!!!
Hey Pro Guitar Shop. First I'd like to start by saying that I love these videos, I appreciate all that goes into the making and playing and the massive variety of videos. I am not a beginner guitarists however I am looking a pedals and there are so many different kinds, maybe you could do a series to show different classic and new original pedals together to show different tonal characteristics, love the individual pedal videos, I think this would be an awesome next step, ROCK ON!
One pedal for Black Keys and Muse stuff might be hard seeing as how Dan has gone through quite a few fuzz pedals from album to album. Earthquaker Devices is a great place to start for Black Keys stuff (Hoof Fuzz). And to reiterate Strato, Zvex is really all you need for Muse.
I think it's about time PGS does effects reviews with bass as well... I'm curious about how some of the effects you guys demo would work with/sound on bass, this one being an example.
Still searching for the perfect fuzz... Got a buzzaround clone that gets close. May have to add this one to the board, too. Definitely smaller and probably more reliable than the original CW Muff...
Seems like you get a lot of great sustain from that pedal. I think it would be a great thing to mention in your demos how loud your amp is when doing them. That way we know the harmonics and sustain is coming from the pedal and not just the amp cranked.
Another cool twist on the Big Muff-ish tone. Goes from Gilmour to grunge with just a few control changes. If I didn't already build my own modded Muffs, I'd jump on this one. Great sounding pedal and the guts are very neat and tidy. :)
what is andy playing at the beginning is that some improv or is that a song? That pedal sounds badass. Could easily see gilmour blasting that thing through his HIWATT's
Civil War muff sounds are easily my favorite type of fuzz boxes. I've been trying to decide between the Blackout Effectors Musket Fuzz and the new Mojo Hand Colossus, now this one pops up! haha Would anyone care to give an opinion on comparing the three? They all get great tones, but which would you say is most versatile?
I hate when PGS stop to tell us about amp that they use recently and other equipment that use to make more color to the sound such as delay, overdrive and such. Please PGS I love your videos and I want to know gear that you use. Don't stop tell us.
@mixolidianrules It doesn't make you lose a lot of frequencies, it simply emphasizes different ones. And many great players don't use picks: Jeff Beck, Mark Knopfler, Albert King, John Mayer, Derek Trucks, Albert Collins, Wes Montgomery.... the list goes on
Great pedal. Really love the tone, and its solid like a brick. Were you using a little overdrive there are the beginning, before the fuzz kicks in, to sharpen the G&L's tone?
Cual de los 2 pedales se asemeja a la distortion del album Pinkerton de Weezer? Wren and Cuff Box of War o Wren and Cuff Tall Font Russian Gracias por la respuesta
Gotta say, if I was going to pick a fuzzbox based on its ability to clean up with picking dynamics and volume tweaking, no Muff or Muff derivative would be on my radar. Muffs do a lot of things very well, but cleaning up is not among them. Still better than the Swollen Pickle--I swear that thing gets dirtier when I roll off my volume.
@Account3of7 As they're trying to sell them, i'm gonna guess very rarely if ever. But y'know, for most pedals there's gonna be other channels who'll give you some bad points - Either way, whether or not you like the sound from the video is a pretty good representation imo :)
Hey PGS. I need some help here. I'm going crazy trying to decide for one Fuzz pedal.. All that I want is a pedal for some "Black Keys" "Muse" sounds and good leads.. Can you guys give me a good choice? Waiting for your help!
Because of PGS videos, i'm probably going to end up with about 12 fuzz pedals...
I agree, that first part is the solo to "On the Turning Away" by Pink FLoyd. One of my favorite solos.
Andy is amazing at picking the perfect song riffs for each and every pedal he demos...I'm loving these wren & cuff pedals....I might sell my vintage gear to get some of these reliable pedals!!!!!
i love the gilmour stuff in the begginning, pedal sounds great
What incredible tone from that strat at the beginning!
Great Demo Andy!!!! I absolutely love your playing and with this pedal especially! Keep up the good work.
Really impressed with this pedal - wasn't expecting to like it that much either.
That paint job is awesome
@Standard420247 If you friend us, you do not need comment approval. We do this to keep the spammers at bay. Thanks!
The second sonic sounds almost like Incinerate by Sonic Youth but it's seems a little different.
ive never wanted a pedal so much, awesome.

@PirateFromVoid When he cleans up, it's definitely Sonic Youth's "Incinerate" but before that, I'm not so sure.
OMG, this sounds so 90's perfect!
THIS. THIS FUZZ TONE. HOLY CRAP. I may have to find a way to try one in person at a shop.
Wish this tone would work for my style of music. It is awesome.
THAT's the tone I think I was looking for!
Sounds like a mix of fuzz and distortion. But it's a sweet pedal overall.
holy shit thats some amazing tone andy
I like compressed/sustained sound with the neck pick up...very gilmour

love the sound of this pedal!

Such a winner tone.
i wish you guys would do Bass Demos as well once in a while!!
is this song on the intro a little tribute to on the turning away by pink floyd?
This is the first fuzz pedal, where I say "I want it". It sounds amazing.
The reviews are great but... why Andy don't use a pick? This makes lose a lot of sound frequences
Still searching for the perfect fuzz... Got a buzzaround clone that gets close. May have to add this one to the board, too. Definitely smaller and probably more reliable than the original CW Muff...
at 3.00 is this a remix of "lost art of keeping a secret"?
The intro riff is so good.,
HD! Finally! Are you guys gonna start uploading all you videos in HD?
Got that Gilmour tone!

Can you start listing the basic gear you're using in your videos again, please?
Anyone know if the opening riff is a song or just andy being amazing?
@joemiracle220 If they've been using the same amp for a while now, I think it's the Tone King Imperial
I hate when PGS stop to tell us about amp that they use recently and other equipment that use to make more color to the sound such as delay, overdrive and such. Please PGS I love your videos and I want to know gear that you use. Don't stop tell us.
Looks like a worthy buy.
i love this pedal. i have it.

FANTASTIC SOUND GILMOUR STYLE ;) W PINK FLOYD
wow! what's the name of the song at 01:28 ??? another great demo btw, i dont even watch them for the gear anymore :D
Great pedal. Really love the tone, and its solid like a brick.
Were you using a little overdrive there are the beginning, before the fuzz kicks in, to sharpen the G&L's tone?
PGS has the best damn demos... And Miss Shevaughn would be using this pedal inna minute if we had any more room on our boards!!!
@secretagentYTer
Yes, that's basically what it is.
what's the name of the first song? Must be Pink floyd/Gilmour
amazing sounding delay under the first bit... Is that the LoFi 616?
hmmm so which one is bigger sounding the box of war or the fuzz war?? I'm not sure which would better compliment my Mayo
a standard tuning version of incinerate by sonic youth
wow sounds beautiful distortion.. how much ???
really powerful without being a metal box. ideal for live neil young covers!

@SparkyGi andy doesnt always play without a pick, and pretty much every other video demoer PGS has uses a pick..
i really admire Andy's fingerstyle technique but since most of guitarists use picks,PGS might include some picking-type playing on their videos...
That was amazing, just, wowwwww.
WOW O_O
I may have to try one of these bad boys myself! Great video thanks!
@ZepIV oh, thanks! :)
I just discovered Wren & Cufff...I might actually e-bay off my vintage muff's and get some of their uber reliable pedals
Very chunky, I like it already
Sounds great does it also work with a bass.
Will there ever be any cons mentioned about a productt?
Hey Andy, how long have you had that G&L, I only asked because your fret board looks really clean for a board.
do you remember which delay pedal you were using???
Whats the first song? Sounds like gilmour. At least the style is the same..
Hey, he played the song at 1:30 on the Nobels ODR-1 demo, to, what is the name of it?
What's the second song played? I really liked that riff.
Nice!
Would this be middle ground between a Blackout Effectors Musket and a Triangle muff clone (BYOC)? I'm looking for another flavor off muff.
@Ethan314159 Stomp Underfoot has a ton Muff Versions for $150 each. They get great reviews and everyone says Matt (SUF Builder) is great to deal with.
holy shit that is awesome
Andy, the human juke box!
So I want a grungy sounding fuzz that can also be good for gilmour tones. Can somebody help me decide between this and the black arts toneworks lstr.
My tone search is over.
was this actually designed for civil war by GnR?
@ProGuitarShopDemos i sent a friend request weeks ago and still nothing
@TheThrob111 same for me....there stuff is amazing
is this a civil war muff type thing?
whats the song in the begining? could it be gilmour?

what's the first song? sounds kinda gilmourish
Whats the song hes playing at the start?
Sounds fuckin' fantastic!!
What is the song at 1:30 ?
awesome
@Standard420247 I think the fact they let this one through pretty much proves you wrong mate ;)
@ProGuitarShopDemos so you guys do go through every single comment? damn!
Tabs?
@louisalive Good call man!
2:53 Quasimodo by Lifehouse?
what delay pedal are you using on the beginning ?
Lol! Seems like they could have fit that circuit in a box the size of an ep booster!
@Standard420247 I have seen some nasty comments about proguitarshop, they let almost anything past, like they said it keeps the stupid spam away.
What amp are you using? Thanks
"Heavy duty custom enclosure" --> the box of war is fittingly build like a tank
