Good video, , thankyou foe sharing. After watching a similar video to yours, I threw one in my Adult ed class on Thursday, only problem I had was the bat was too small, so I will have lots of trimming to do😅 thanks for showing how to do a 2 piece plate stand😊

Wow, this was super interesting - I haven’t seen anything thrown that way before, with a second piece of clay being added! I’ve also been wanting to make a cake stand for a while, so I’ll have to try this! I really love how you glazed it. ❤

Hi! Thank you! I also haven’t seen it before, just figured it’s easier to throw this way. On videos that I’ve watched they either throw 2 separate pieces or make it from one piece of clay, which seems more complicated.

@@lifeandclay Yes, that’s how I’d only seen it done as well, which seems like it would make it weak if you stuck two separate bits together after making them. I’m definitely going to try your way! Did you dry the flat plate piece at all before adding the second lump of clay?

@@Lily_AutumnI didn’t, put it on top right away. Let me know how did it go 😊

Fascinating. The glazing was so cool to watch too! Now I'm wondering what counts as that old as I'm about to turn 60 😂

Haha, it’s pretty weird. Jelly, fruits sponge cake (or cookies) and sour cream with sugar and gelatin 😅
