Sorry I missed ! OMG , soooooo much to say to this. My parents would only visit when ex was out of town for work, especially towards end . There was a breaking point for my parents ….
At some point people have to protect themselves and minimize the chaos they "expose" themselves to so it doesn't surprise me. Honestly I was glad to hear their success story - so often people reach out to me AFTER the new in-law has destroyed the relationship they HAD with their child...
Ex would become more aggressive in front of family. Finally one day my dad snapped “don’t talk to my daughter ….” (He was yelling & degrading me about a calendar on phone) Ex gave a monologue about MY treatment towards him.
When you share a child with someone, it's never over unless they're rights have been completely signed away. When you think it's over it's not. Is Alex falconi says end of filings is not end of abuse
Unfortunately that is true... When children are involved, even adult children, there is always a connection. The only main difference is we now have a choice as to what we are going to endure.
