With two placekicker spots left to select, field goal kickers across America competed at the 2017 Kohl's Kicking National Scholarship Camp for a chance to play in the nation's premiere All-American Game.

When Evan ran up to kick before he even contacted the ball you can tell it was gonna fly where as the other guy did some weird toe down step thing and made it look like he had no power
that “other guy” is now one of the best kickers in college ball playing for OU. Much better than evans doing now. You don’t know what you’re talking about

Lol Even McPherson lost this field goal challenge to Seth Small and a month ago from when I am making this comment, Seth Small who is kicking for Texas A&M kicked the game winning field goal against the Florida Gators where Even McPherson is kicking at.

So I’m a right footed kicker, and I’m wondering if I should ever adjust my steps according to where the ball is in terms of the hashes. An example is when the ball is on the left hash, should I make my 2 steps to the left a bit bigger to compensate for the angle? Or should I just hit the ball in a different spot? Thanks for any response
You should line up to your target line with the exact same steps from each hash, just taking them from a different angle. We go in-depth on this at our camps. Would love to have you come out this Spring or Summer!
You line up in line with the far upright pole to your block or where the ball will be placed for the left hash, so if you kick across your body, it'll curve into the middle, and for right hash, line up with the middle of the field goal and your block or where the ball will be placed, so that you can ensure it will go through the middle. don't line up perpendicular to the hash, stay in line behind your focal point on the uprights and the block.

To be a kicker in this competition do you have to kick off the ground or can you kick of a 1' inch tee
This is for college therefore college rules. Tee is only in highschool level, so no Tee.

So can you just show up to these events or do you have to send film first i am a freshmen that can punt between 45-50 yards and i want to show to an event but my season has not started.
This particular event was by invitation only from any of our National Coaching Staff. However, most of our training camps and showcases that are open to all athletes. Feel free to check out kohlskicking.com/camps for current dates and locations.
How far do u punt now
I can punt about 40 yards and an average hang time of 4 seconds and I'm 13. Is that good?
