I just got mine (MON G3 10 inch, from AMS) on 12/5, and have played three shows with it so far. All I can say is wow, it is more than I hoped for! Well worth the money, it cuts like crazy and the volume for it's size is very impressive. You could rip your head off with one of these! The sound is very balanced, with just enough inherent hi-mid color to cut through on loud stages. It's slightly heavier than you expect when you lift it, but so worth it when you fire it up. Only by cranking it WAY beyond my needs could I ever come close to any feedback, and I'm running the entire thing flat with the exception of +3db in the highs. I'm EQing from my board , and it's responsive to EQ across all ranges with no perceivable distortion at high SPLs. I have experience with LD, I have their big Maui towers with an amazing 18 speakers each, super loud and they sound amazing. About 18 months ago I needed another system for smaller rooms that require balanced full range sound in close proximity, and also covered different room elevations like a line array.. I looked at everything but I honestly ended up back with LD. This time I got the very compact CURV500 PS array system and have never looked back. Again, for it's size I've never heard anything like it. I have only brought out the big Maui system twice this year, (in around 160 shows) the CURV500 has performed in every circumstance I've encountered in over a year, including any club I play, an entire Casino floor, large dances, and dinner seating up to 350 guests. It is incredibly balanced and loud for a compact system, and It has spoiled the shit out of me. It's not a thumper, but that's ok for me. The new monitor pairs perfectly with the CURV system, and I just couldn't be happier. I highly recommend LD gear.

If I connect two by XLR, are they linked for purposes of volume changes?
What spectrum analyser app was used by Jens?
Is there a need to change the (default) angle disperson of the speaker horns if used as a stage monitor, assuming I am seated in front of the speaker?

Too bad that the connexions end up on top while putting the speaker on a pole :( still very interested for an application though, is there a way/need to protect the connexion pannel and dsp from humidity ?

We have a padded protective cover for all variants of the MON G3 series that is water-repellent. All areas on the sides can be opened and closed with a zip. In heavy rain, however, you should make sure that the monitor is completely closed or brought into a dry area.

Whats the difference between this and RCF 710 mark V ?
Hello there,
unfortunately we can't tell you the exact differences as we don't know the RCF product. At first glance the RCF full range speakers and our Mon G3 series are focussed stage monitors with an active 2-way coaxial speaker.

Do you think it will work well with Helix?
I assume you mean Helix from Line 6, right?
You can of course connect the output from your Helix system to the MON G3. Or did you have something else in mind?
