In this video Wally shares some of the basics. And to do that he teaches about the staff he uses in all our videos. The staff has no ceremonial role.
It is simply a way to share some complex ideas. And it does a great job. Wally has been using the staff for decades. The concept was modeled after the way ceremonies were taught to apprentice medicine people.
Every design, color, pattern etc… shares a story or philosophy.
Enjoy this unique look into Navajo Culture and how things are preserved when there is no written language.

Thank you, Uncle, for sharing this and having courage to clarify the whole "2 -spirit" issue. This is a sacred dynamic the holy people use to protect us and teach us to respect and understand each other. It's not about gender or sex. Again, thank you for your teachings!

Miigwech grandfather you just healed a hole for me in the spirit of creation and the Dineta.
The black is the first world when it was formless and void.
The blue was when the spirit of man was created before man was clothed in the skin of an animal.
The yellow corn pollen path is this world as we navagate the creation in the skin of an animal. Corn pollen because food is important for a spirit to remain in the body and navigate the third world which corn has done for a long time.

Pray for me this Thanksgiving, these past three years have been difficult on me. Jesus give me guidance come back soon. I don’t know how much longer I can hold on. I’m so tired of struggling every month to get by. As a single mom things are hard on me both of my sons are autistic and I’m constantly struggling to provide the basic necessities for them I’m so ashamed. Lord heal me. I suffered an heart attack two years ago and still battling lupus I’m so overwhelmed. Give me strength Lord as I constantly struggle to pay bills and constantly struggle to buy groceries for my children. BUT no matter what I KEEP FAITH. Even though I want to give up. Jesus please take the fear of homelessness from my heart. Please save me and my children from poverty. ❤

May the medicine wheel guide you to the peaceful eye of the storm so you may feel gratitude for all that you are and everything that is given to you by his grace. His grace is in you and all around you. He has risen. Be not ashamed. You care enough to question your path and stamina to ask for strength. This means you are stronger and more humble than those who refuse to look at all. I was recently feeling sorry for myself and was guided to the book of Job. I also like the books by Edward Hayes. My favorites are St. George and the dragon and the quest for the holly grail, the flaming pearl, and the Ethiopian tattoo shop.

Thank you Uncle. Your knowledge of your People's Traditions helps me understand the ways of my own Ancient Ancestors, which we are beginning to remember.
On my Mother's side, The Nordic/Scandinavian lineage, we have The Seidmadur, skjaldmær and ergi. Seidmadur is a Man who practices women's magic/medicine, skjaldmær is a woman warrior, and ergi is and effeminate man who has no courage, he doesn't honor our women by being a man. There's two main magics among us Seidr and Galdr, women's magic and men's magic.
In the stories of our people, which remain, Oden and Loki have an argument where Oden mocks Loki for being Ergi because he spent 8 year in the underworld as a milkmaid and gave birth to several children during this time.
Loki argues back Accusing Odin of being no less Ergi as he is a Seidmadur, which is centered on the spinning of thread by our Women.
It's interesting to note that both the domestic cow and the spinning of thred are important to our Traditions. As Buri, first god (gott, that which one pours libations for/ a spirit one honors) was licked out of the ice by a domestic cow, Audhumla.
Everything thing is reciprocal, the Rune Gebo which is signified by an X is very important and the true meaning of Gift. Gift is not to get something for nothing, all things exist in balance by The Natural Law. To us Black is a symbol of life because it is the color of fertile soil, yet it is the color of ash, charcoal. Fire and ice can provide life or bring death- we live in balance between fire and ice. This is why Red, white and Black are sacred to our people. These are tied to the Three Realms of Yggdrasil, the World Tree, in which All exist. Each Realm consists of three smaller Realms which form a Circle. Our Realm, Midgaard is at the center of the other eight realms. Yet we know from the Elder Futhark that the center is everywhere, because the twenty-four Runes are divided by three sets of eight, known as Aets. These form a three ring geometric sphere, which adds perspective to understanding, remembering what we have forgotten.
Sleipnir, Oden's Eight Legged Horse, is reflective of Spider, when we realize that Seidr involves the spinning of thread. Women have been the portent of the memories of our ancestors through Seidr. So together, these things help us to understand our relationship with existence; our place in Yggdrasil. It's good to remember what we have forgotten.
    Gebo X
    🙏🏽

gender is an expression of feminine and/or masculine behavior.
it is rare but IS possible for someone who understands both male and female, and born intersex, to exist.

Source of that quote unknown. But I have heard similar Reflections in many places! Could be the difference between a jaguar and an eagle you could say

It's so neat I'm from Arizona but over the past like 3 years God has been giving me dreams telling me that I need to gather my flock I don't know what that means but God has been directing me towards these native American or tribal walking sticks or clubs and the meanings behind them and I just think you know it's something we need to bring to the whole world men and women need these things to heal
