Praise the Lord Adonai for our Messianic brothers and sisters in Yeshua and for teaching us about our spiritual heritage in Yeshua! Thank You, Lord! We are one new man, as written in Ephesians 2:15. Shalom🕊️
Great practical list of ways to maximize the time of Elul. I loved #5 because it made me think that we are to be imitators of God. God is in the field making connections with his people and likewise we should also be "out in our own field" making connections and drawing each other closer to Hashem and who HaShem has called each of us to become.
Thank you so much! This will definately help with my congregational fast of Elul. I plan on 'spring' cleaning my life in the 'fall' to root out the 'busy stuff' that takes me away from God. This will also align me with Am Israel in my prayers. 2 Chronicles 7:14-16🙏💙
Beautiful! How compassionate is HaShem! I appreciate your listing the four ways I can make this time of Teshuvah meaningful in my own life. Thank you once again for saying a LOT in such a short period of time😊. Shalom!
Oh wow, I wish I saw this two weeks ago, it was really beautiful explanation, and it really helped me to brighten my understanding of Yom Kippur. Thank you so much.
Thank you for this, I have set this alongside the words from Rabbi Ds peach and those from little vlog from non-messianic Jewish lady who mentioned Psalm 27 and the ELUL meaning. I've definitely got alot to think about with regard to relationships and how things are ordered in my life. I find these talks of yours encouraging and I am hoping to take those turns to be a better version of myself in the new year ahead. My first take away is, HaShem is not standing there with a big stick, rather He is drawing nearer to His people beckoning them to come closer and have a heart to heart. I read the following helpful insight today too: There is a type of compassion which is reasonable and makes sense to humans; but there is also the compassion of God for the sinner, which is aware of rebellion against him and is beyond understanding or common sense. (Levertov, Religious Ideas).
Aloha from Hawaii 🌺🤗🕊️🔥 Thank you for sharing this powerful message and points. This is the first time I've come upon your site. I know it's a Word spoken to me from the Holy Spirit 🕊️. SHALOM SHALOM 👏
My heart is Isaiah 61v 1to3 for church and the world so much pain out there please read Luke 21 v 34 to 36 the Good Lord gave me this God bless Norma from Australia 😃 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 ❤ 💙 💜 💛 💚 ❤ 💙
How to rectify relationships we have peacefully escaped from to avoid harm. Is praying for them enough? Forgiveness does not mean reconciliation even Jesus shook off the dust, and said to not cast pearls... its not safe to open that door again but I know they must hurt from the loss & lack of insight or accountability. Lord have mercy on us all 🙏😢
Totally understand. Sometimes you can't make peace, because it's not dependent upon you. There is another person involved. This is why Paul said, "If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all." (Romans 12:18). This is why we have to do everything within our power to make peace with others, but ultimately leave it in the hands of heaven. Blessings. I hope to see more comments from you on future videos! Shalom!
@@EmetHaTorah Yes I did watch the video, but still cannot see where you get all this from. None of it is written in our scripture/Tanahk. BUT it might be written in the Talmud,m but I dont accept that book. I think that all of this is taken from tradition and has got nothing to do with our Elohim. Repentane is an ongoing, every day occurance. The king meeting his people in the field is a wonderful idea but, there again, I cannot find this concept in our scripture. What I do like, is the acronym formed from the word Elul.....beautiful.
Why is Elul regarded as a time of intrispection, a time of self evaluation and personal review.........WHY is the time of Elul a time of repentance? I cant find it in the scripture.
Excellent question! There are several factors. The two primary ones are: 1) Biblically, we are not given a reason to blow the shofar on Rosh Hashanah/Yom Teruah. The sages interpret this to mean that the shofar is supposed to awaken the soul for the upcoming accounting of Yom Kippur. Elul is the 30 day period that leads up to R"H and Y"K is ten days after this, so we have a total of a 40 day period (and of course the number 40 has biblical significance) from 1 Elul to Y"K. 2) The sages also connected Elul to repentance & reconnection based on what they saw as an obvious acronym in the word Elul to Song of Songs, as I mentioned in my video. There are more reasons (connections with Psalm 27, etc.), but we have to realize that even though this connection was affirmed by the rabbis, everything is biblically based, but we have to delve deep-often in the Hebrew-to see those connections. Bonus: There is some speculation that this 40 day period is the 40 days that Yeshua was fasting in the wilderness. Great questions! Blessings!
Originally (see 2 Samuel 5:7). However, by the time of Solomon it was considered the entire Temple Mount area, and later it was synonymous with Jerusalem.
To answer that question, you need to connect with my good friend, Joe Good over at hatikva.org. He is THE MAN for all things Temple-related. Tell him I sent you!

I really want to know more
The king is in the field .....Where do you get this information from? All I can find on Elul is that it is a month on the calendar of Israel.
I explain it all in the video. Have you watched it yet?

Elul began August 18 this year. Great to have you with us! Thanks for watching!

Zion is the city of David?correct?
Originally (see 2 Samuel 5:7). However, by the time of Solomon it was considered the entire Temple Mount area, and later it was synonymous with Jerusalem.
The Bible says it can only be built with the need of a constant water source and that is only in the city of David...
