ominous pink hoodie in the bg, she's always watching. also, the chord progression discussion, we throwing back to the anime chord progression vid years back.
This is probably the best video on this topic! Almost every other video I’ve seen covering this has been text explanations with somewhat okay FL studio beats. I like how you use the Peggies as an example because Yuho Kitazawa (guitarist and singer) has written multiple songs for Bocchi the Rock.
I love that "venue" track trick, I've doing that using convolution reverb, and also panning a bit of guitar room mics to the opposite side of the stereo field. It sounds huge.
This is a super cool video. I always liked this type of J-Rock sound and sounds adjacent to it, but had no theory knowledge to frame what i was hearing beyond "Holy shit i wish i could play like that". I learned a lot here and now i'm gonna go experiement :)
09:26 god is so frustrating when i want to hear some theory behind and all youtubers starts with the "i don't want you to get bored so i'll just say it quickly and simple", bro just go for it, the people who watch this kind of videos are not dumb
I was wondering when this was gonna happen lmao. Always thought it was hype that you had that Bocchi signature shirt in your Loathe guitar tech videos, so it's nice to see how that finally came full circle!
My dumbahh went"HOLD UP IS THAT SHOKA?!" for 0,1 secs at 7:36, anyways really great video, sadly my parent don't want me to get a guitar because "Come on you still have your gramps one to learn, might be a little old but it's fine", no shit it's old, there are literral prints within the wood where he puts his fingers.
i love this video so much! but dude im having such a hard time with the pregression explaination. im watching your fingers and they dont match what im playing! what tuning are you in? maybe im just not looking at it right lol
@@TheNewCatacombs def consider grassroots or edwards if you like singlecut but with a proper headstock and esp factory built standards on a budget fdly scale!
literally yesterday i was like "hmm i wonder if i could make a bocchi the rock style-song" my mind is read once again

I await the day your original j-rock stuff becomes an anime OP

Excellent video and great explanation and depth of your creation. Favourite new channel I discovered at the beginning of 2025.
It kinda reminds me of a mix of The Smashing Pumpkins and Kessoku Band, I LOVE IT!
6:05 in the First Take live cover of bocchi the rock you can see the rythem guitar I think it was a jazz master

I was literally thinking about watching bocchi the rock again just to gain some inspiration and then this video pops up in my youtube lmao

Forgot to mention I'm tuned in Drop D
@ knew I wasn’t crazy lol
Love the vid and Bocchi! Also wondering what strings do you use?
I use Elixir 10-52 tuned to Drop D!
@ Thanks!
Wow, super informative but I know nothing about mixing so that whole part was nonsense to me lol
I need tablature for that song 🙏🙏
What kind of LP is that?
It’s a Grassroots Gold Top Les Paul!
@ thanks. What do you think of it? How does it compare to other guitars in this price range like Sire, Epiphone, etc?
