Using Polymorph Moldable Plastic as the Ultimate MacGuyver Tech Hack!
In this video I introduce you to Polymorph moldable plastic and show how I used it to modify my Desview T3 Teleprompter!
This stuff is really useful if like me you are a fan of performing hack jobs on your tech! It's also great for general repairs and jobs around the house.
You can get it in white, black and a range of other colours. Note that Polymorph is a brand name, but there are other generic brands of similar moldable plastic.... here are links to some of them!

Fixed a cling film dispenser, and just fixed a broken lid on a food processor. Excellent stuff… my son recommended it and even gave me some!

Two years later maybe you can answer this question: Can this stuff be used for making molds into which material such as Milliput epoxy can be used to create an object from the mold? Is it possible to make two part molds from? (I.e. does the warm plastic stick to “dried” cold plastic?)
@@goilo888 After cooling, warm polymorph hardly adheres to smooth cold polymorph. Try it out and tell us about it.
I'm making molds out of oogoo too.
@@PatWallaby Thanks for the reply. I have some thermoplastic on order (can’t remember which brand), but I’m looking forward to trying it. Will have to check out Oogoo now (there’s always something to buy 😀)
How did you cut the bottom off? Any risk of damaging the glass in the cutting? I've been using a 7" field monitor with the Desview T2 for the better part of a year, and was thinking of removing the bottom part with a Dremel cutting wheel.
Never mind, just cut the bottom clean off
I used a hacksaw and took it steady…. The whole unit feels pretty strong so wasn’t worried about damaging the glass and I had it resting on a flat surface.
Is that the 250g pack?
