Should be noted that the Mini Rectifier has pretty pronounced mids, at least to my ear. So while the knob is only sitting around 11 o'clock, you'll still be getting plenty of good tone out of it, hence why I said it's a "bit pushed". Probably not the best terminology, but who cares.
Not sure if you have any experience with the Boss DF-2 but given that you’re a fellow Hum respecter I figured you may have some info. I just ordered one and really want to get that huge tone Matt got with it but can’t find his settings anywhere online. Do you know what he was setting it to?
I actually just got one about a year ago from someone I know - I can't say the for sure settings, but I'd imagine it's Volume as close to unity with your clean channel as you can get it (DF2s run a bit quiet, so don't be shocked if the volume is maxed), tone in the ballpark of noon or 1 oclock, and the distortion all the way up
@@soundescapemn Yeah I assumed it would be about like that with how saturated their gain is on those records. So thick yet still tight and articulate. I’m also grabbing a SansAmp GT2 as well, which has a lot more options for tone settings. Any advice on getting Tim’s tone out of it?
@@zerocool__ it can get pretty fizzy, so if you're using the high gain or hot wired settings, definitely turn down the highs on your amp and adjust accordingly on the pedal itself. Or vice-versa.
Swiped it out of the cold dead hands of some poor sap E-Bay dealer for like $800. All Hiwatt guts, just rehoused alongside a slightly different faceplate.
from this video alone i can tell your next album is gonna sound insane. so excited bro
