In South Asia we get all girls (and some boys) ears pierced when we're babies. It doesn't hurt really and it's supposed to be a cultural norm across religious identities as well. Always found it weird in American TV when they made the ear piercings a big deal I was like huh whaaa

Aidan Chang-Lee Lol how exactly are they off the rails? They might be a bit eccentric or pretentious but they're TEENAGERS with crazy wealth and fame. They seem like good kids to me and they're never involved in any scandals. Compare that to other child stars who are/were on drugs (Justin Bieber, Drew Barrymore was doing coke at 12 etc) and go to rehab at 16, now that's called being off the rails.
