Excellent! Excellent ! I remember being a young mother and wanting to go to work. After all I had a degree, needed to use it!! But God had another plan, His plan. As I look back on those years of being able to stay home, my heart overfows with gratefulness to God. Thank you!
Thank you for this! I have been looking for information like this, it seems like a lot of orthodox information online is maybe geared toward men - or at least not specifically to women. Just like you said, I rejected the feminist ideals I grew up with, but then was left with a vacuum of sorts, because I had never seen examples of traditional womanhood. There is a lot non orthodox information out there right now about femininity and traditional womanhood, but a lot of it seems to take things to an extreme or have rigid ideas of what traditional womanhood is (ie the 1950s aesthetic stuff, etc.)
Yes there is a lot of non-Orthodox information out there about what it looks like to be a woman, but it is very different from what we see in the church. It can confuse the waters even more. Thanks for listening!
@@OrthodoxFamilyLife I just watched your interview on the Study of Stuff and I was amazed at how similar our life stories are. I also grew up with a mom who was severely mentally ill - she even walked in circles just like your mom did. I was also an orchestra kid, and am now a homeschool mom of 4 kids. i am sure you are busy but if you had time I would love to get into contact with you (: but even if you don't, just wanted to say I really appreciate you sharing your story. It is extremely inspiring to me
OK seriously Christina I just finished complaining about the lack of time I have to do my basic domestic duties and it leaves me no time for projects that I want to do or even trying to get to church services and I open RUclips to listen to a homily and look what I found …first thing -this beautiful beautiful homily 👍🏻❤️🙏🏻☦️
Lol yes I think we just need to remind ourselves instead of working up into a frenzy… which we wouldn’t do if we were praying the whole time😉! This I say as im cooking dinner at 8 PM🤣🥲😊☺️ anyway you’re completely right about a lot of things ..I really felt the shoe fit on this one😌

Oh Sophia, there is never enough time! Everyday we just do our best and do the most important things first, as I know you know.

@@sophiacorpus9769 The shoes fits me too. I meant to mention that I still struggle with many of these issues myself!
