I used to do this method, but when you cut across the target line you risk dumping the ball short and right...better to copy Luke Donald, he had better bunker stats and used his right hand properly

After first stressing that the swing out of a bunker should be "outside-in," just before hitting the shot Monty says the proper technique is to swing "inside-out."
