Its all your fault if people like you didn't buy fake Bucket Head Jackson Flying V guitars this would not happen well mister? look what you've done LOL
Ugh, that Chibson LP Custom is so very cringe worthy.
In the 1980s and 90 Epiphone made some really nice guitars.
Great video, thank You
Some of the most two faced people I have ever done business with are on ebay You are ebay people
You need to report it to the seller. And if they ignore you, drop the local FBI a line, I'm sure they'd be interested.
Try hunting on Yahoo japan auctions! That is a pretty crazy place
Can we just take a moment to appreciate the fact that Trogly posts DAILY-even on the weekends? That’s a huge commitment!!! Thanks Trogly 🤘

Trogly rocks!
He's just recording what he normally does anyway and is making more money thru you. While buying up all the good deals out there too. Wow look how lucky we are 😄! This guy is everything that's wrong with the guitar community. What a chump you are! This guy is an idiot.

The Trogy's Bassoon Show
Ah yes it’s 2:30 in the morning time to see what kind of bassoons goodwill sells
Goodwill has a disclaimer in the description for the fake Gibson that it "has not been authenticated". Looking at other guitar listing, even the Dean Dimebag guitar, there are no similar disclaimers. It makes me think they suspect something is not right, but they will take people's money anyways. Someone who can "officially" authenticate it needs to contact them and let them know before they scam someone of their savings.
A Chibson SG doubleneck with the added bonus feature of a fake Don Felder autograph sold for $6000 on Goodwill a few months back. I always thought of Goodwill as those dingy, musty thrift stores, but they're raking in the cake there boys.
Goodwill is a for profit organization. They claim they benefit the poor by offering them jobs!
And the CEO I read rakes in millions in annual salary.
Update, I messaged goodwill and they informed all bidders after I sent them to your video. It sold last night for $199.
Good job
Lmao
The fact I just heard trogly utter the name Bo Bo-Bo just sent me into a fucking spiral.
Well , I was classically trained on bassoon!
I've played bass guitar for 40 years so I guess the bassoon lead me to the low end of things ..
Peace and love brother 👍🏻☮❤
There are quite a few collectable Harmonys. Anything 50's or 60's is worth a few bucks. The problem is these early budget made in the USA guitars were mostly entry level. They were never meant to last more than perhaps a decade so things like a truss rod were often not used. My main point is when new they were barely playable and poor parts. So even making them playable may exceed their value very, very quickly. Even so a few are worth buying. They can sound very good because of hand wound PU's and the now very aged woods. I have several and I hot rod them. i always disguise my upgrades so to onlooker everything appears factory. I often use period correct PU covers over a hot gourmet PAF etc.I use tings like the Fender mustang bridge that is adjustable but is made of bent steel and looks period correct. My 'bright yellow 54 Harmony Stratotone Doublet may look like a snowflake but it can take out the back wall of a club going thru my Marshall.LOL
The thing that always tips me of for a fake is the location of the tailpiece! It suppose to sit right over the neck pup volume knob not under!
Sometimes the Chibson stop bar tailpieces are in the correct position and the control knob clusters are out of position.
Another tell-tail sign are the pickup mounting rings size. Fake and Epiphone mounting rings are physically larger than original Gibson pickup mounting rings. If you try to install a real Gibson pickup ring on a fake LP or Epiphone the original screw holes from the non-Gibson ring end up being exposed.
The cutaway horn is wwaaayyyy off!!!!!
I was wondering where the vid was😂
the goodwill hunting joke is funny as shit, i’m way too high and i’m laughing my ass off
And the nut being busted 💀😂
@@F150fx2sporT hell yeah man i was wheezing
Ex bassoon player here. I think that’s a $4,000 to $5,000 new, student horn. I play guitar and drums because I can get a whole studio’s worth of gear for the cost of one bassoon, and I don’t have to make reeds anymore.
You could tell right away it was a fake with the giant import pickup rings. But yeah, that thing screams fake. I don’t understand how people will bid 2k on a guitar they have no knowledge about? Lots of dummies out there 🙄
The big price range on the Silvertone Paul Stanley is there are a couple versions. A bolt on neck and a set neck or neck thru.
Yes trogly! Please review couple of the new Kramer signature models! I'm glad to see such a iconic brand making a comeback.
Forget it. They're owned by Gibson who themselves basically make Chibsons now.
@@drewjohnson4794 yea and Gibson have been bending over backwards to correct there shocking mistakes from 2014_2016.i own and have played Gibson's from 2018 onwards, and they have been Stella and pure quality.have a little hope.
If coffee's steamin', and Trogly dealin', all is well.
Finally! A channel with bassoons.
8:50 that is horrendous, and not just the action. The frets are departing the fretboard.
That's real "utility pole" action on that Strat, not as bad as the Prince-o-caster. In my head, Harmony didn't get any type of passing grade until I read that Pete Townshend used a Harmony acoustic while recording TOMMY. As for Silvertone, they never went away. I think the same folks who made Sammick does them now. In the early 1990s, Epiphone made a halfway decent Telecaster too. I barely remember the M3...thanks for refreshing my memory.
Your reviews of Fenders brought me to your channel. Glad you have decided to check Fenders out. I have learned a few things about Gibson while i have been watching.
That Silvertone is one of the things there were selling in 2002 or 2003 when I first started playing. They also made a Gene Simmons bass in the shape of an axe.
That's a Harmony H22 bass. Has a nice "old school" thump, with flat wounds. Fairly collectable.
I tried to buy a 57 Hofner Senator in blonde, won the bid but was denied due to being in Canada. Even though the people I talked to said I could pay for the shipping and handling expenses to have it shipped. Still doesn’t stop me from browsing goodwill tho.
The bolt-on neck of the no-brand LP reminds me of the Framis acoustic/electric 12-string my dad drafted me with 25 years ago. Its neck was attached similarly.
That cloud guitar would be a pet project for me, first if I serviced/refurbished guitars and second if I wanted to weild a model associated with Prince (plus a brief usage by Sugar Ray).
Would you think twice about getting one of those Epiphone Strats if it were cherry red? I almost got one of those as my 1st electric guitar in the summer of 1995. Would have been just as suitable for me as the one I ended up getting which was q Fender model in black with rosewood fingerboard instead of maple.
The pickup on the flattop LP style guitar at 6:38 is a DeArmond Aftermarket pickup with attached tone and volume control! I have one I got a while ago that i planned to use on an archtop project, i believe mine was stamped early 60's but it had a good hot sound for what it was!
spaceagedpolymer Agreed, a true early Toaster Pickup wouldn't even fit in that thin of body-style guitar. Much like the early Gibson Christensen Pickup, magnet technology of the late 1940s required very large magnets as before the development of much stronger AlNiCo alloy.
Trogly, dont worry - I speak for the entire youtube community - we love the Fender content :)
Yes the Fender thing is bonus. I would love to see any old made in the USA guitars and even MIJ guitars. I have a few that I got and made playable I often upgrade parts to modern spec being careful to keep the look correct to the era of the guitar. the killer is they look like a snowflake but I can use them for Metal and they can do the job.
Evan Bauer I 2nd your comment
im Ibanez for life ....but i really love your show,i save it so i can watch it every morning ....goood job bro!
I know a little about bassoons. I know they sound amazing and some ppl use them to get the dubstep bassy sounds. Like Moon Hooch. I wanted to buy one years ago, but got a vintage clarinet instead. Bassoons are cool though.
I know confusing them with baboons is a mistake you wont make twice.
I bought an unofficial Prince Cloud Guitar I spent 550 on it. It looks great. Not up to par on what Paisley Park sold but those were limited run Shecters. It turned out to have a pretty cheap bridge and tuners. I would be mad but the body looks good. Good paint good inlays. I know someone who can replace those problem parts. The pick ups are generic but not bad. Since Im replacing the bridge to be the original that Prince had with upgraded matching tuners I'm going to have some fun and swap pick ups to the EMGs in what Prince used. I did get my hands on an Authentic Prince owned and played Cloud once I was only allowed to hold it but still.
Hard to believe people are so wealthy they'll bid thousands on something they don't even know.!?
I have a 65 kay truetone, those old things are great with the exception of their electronics.
I have a black Epi EM-2. Picked it up for $100. It has upgraded pickups and a Floyd Rose. Very underrated guitars.
great vid
I had one of those Epiphone strat style guitars a couple years back, nothing to interesting about those, but it did sound good to me, it seemed to have a more defined mid-range sound, and the neck carve wasn't too bad
That Goodwill location ships everything for $0.01 and have been for years.
I’m a guitar player, but I just bought a trumpet, clarinet, flute, and violin from a friend. I’d never played any of them before but the price was right. What the hell, I rock a bassoon
I am amazed people are actually bidding that Chibson up! I actually have the exact same red Epi EM2 you showed I got it years ago for less than 100 bucks in mint condition with case. Great guitar actually rarely sees the light of day it's buried in it's case in the back of my collection. I'll have to make it a point to pull it out. I won't do the Goodwill auctions for a guitar but I bought one from Goodwill locally. It was an old 70s Teisco I paid like 15 bucks for it. It was in pretty good condition with the exception of a set of rusty strings. Cleaned and set it up put a new set of strings on it. It wasn't bad I sold for a very good profit but kind of wish I kept it. Back in the day you couldn't give those 60s and 70s Japanese guitars way now they are getting some decent money for them.
2:44 I care about bassoons 😂 my neighbour played one when I was a kid and I always loved the sound
Def interested in Kramers! Love the new reissues.
More Bassoon content! Bring the wood back 🌲🌴🌳
3:52 has me dead lmao
All that Kramer talk reminds me that you should review a Jackson KV1 sometime... soon ;)
Thanks I have one of these. I knew it was fake but it’s nice get a deep dive by someone who knows. I found it in the dumpster so all I got was a free guitar that plays alright.
nice catch Trog
I just love this channel, The Trogly's Basoon Show
That Epiphone strat was my first guitar. I had the red one...still have it. Great guitar!
Those black script fender squiers are cool guitars for the money. We use a tele version for recording.. sounds great bone stock.
just on time for degenerate gamer hours
Growing up in the 70s good will was the place to go 50 cents for a shirt and $10-$15 dollars for a guitar and don't forget the $10 dollar surfboards
5dollar reel to reels
Cant wait for the Kramers!! Im a huge fan of the brand
I own an epiphone S-310 that was the same color as the one on the episode! Please do a review they are hilarious 80’s freaks
Please review some of the Kramer's. Tracii Guns has one out, and Snake Sabo and Charlie Parra. I watched the video's on YT and thought they looked super promising. Thanks Trogly.
Check out the Ibanez jem jr. that somebody just totally effed up with paint and decals, a real shame
I'm interested you get your hands on an Eastman. You had great views on the Shijie, so I'm sure it will do great!
8:25 I think the "bass" string is actually the wall behind it , and that it's an optical illusion.
You could be right. I don‘t see it at 8:30 and it‘s the same place where they did the photo with the „string“ haha
@@zProdd Perhaps you're right. Why would you even take a pic from this angle if that's your action, tho?
@@lueymeteora1410 I have no idea, also the string isn‘t even like in center to the neck haha
It‘s just confusing as hell, they don‘t seem to be the best sellers at goodwill
Zoomed in, you can see 3 strings from the side looking like 1, but that bridge is very high like this was a set up pic? ...but check the fret nib ends - they aren't even touching the fret board' ...I'd rock the Bassoon before going near this...
No it’s a string, otherwise it wouldn’t cast a shadow on the fretboard
The jazz bass needs the neck shimmed to fix the bridge issues! Truss rod working is where you may get gooched!
10:56 I want this to be my new ringtone
Wow never been this early before
When did Fender start using little trem blocks? That used to be a way to see in a glance if it was a Squier rebaged but I haven't really looked at any newer American Fenders lately. S the small trem block a thing now?
Exactly. For people who are not experienced like you just have to look under the Truss Rod cover. I guarantee it's just an "Allen Wrench" adjuster and not the standard Gibson Nub under there. As far as I know, correct me if I'm wrong, Gibson doesn't use Allen Wrench adjusters on ANY of their guitars.
Rob Cosentino You are correct, all Gibson truss rods use an SAE sized nut to adjust the truss-rod. Overseas guitars typically use a Metric Allen Head screw to adjust the truss-rod.
With the action that high, that Prince guitar would be perfect for playing slide guitar!
The Fake also has the stop bar past the volume knob towards the bottom of the guitar instead of towards the top
Yo early squad!
I want one of those Paul Stanley Silvertone signature models for a rad Death Metal mod project! It would definitely need a new neck with a more aggressive headstock shape, possibly a refinish as well!
fun show thank you.
THAT SILVERTONE!!!
Its a Paul Stanley Silvertone Apocalypse.
My first guitar EVER and I got it at a pawn shop for $60
6:56 That has to be access to a truss-rod right ?
I'd like to see some of the new Kramers. Especially the Tracii Guns and Snake Sabo signatures.
I see they are selling the L. Ron Hubbard Kramer signature.... Nice
I see the LRH and Scientology style cross and my mind was blown. Might be from a former musician that was a part of the Scientology media department
Is that what that was. Might have to bid on it.
I think Tom Cruise donated this
VERY interested in seeing Kramers on here
Number one!
Kramer YES PLEASE!
Jay voorhees Yeah, reviewing some of the new Kramer would be interesting.
@@hkguitar1984 i hope they still have a few models coming apart from the signatures, theres still stuff from 2019 or so they havent brought in production
that bo bo bo bo bo bo bo reference tho
That Silvertone looks like somebody bolted a guitar neck to a hobby drone
Would love see video on the Tracii Guns sig Kramer
Damn that old bass looks amazing! Wish I could afford a restoration like that right now!!!!
The first band I played in as a teen. The guitar player had that silvertowne
I'm down for Kramer videos 🤘🏽
I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure that the Conrad guitar was a Soviet made guitar in the 60’s
Edit: I just did my research that is not a soviet guitar to my findings I confused it with another brand but I did find this interesting article on reverb about Soviet made guitars and basses if anyone wants to check it out reverb.com/news/guide-to-soviet-era-guitars?
Yes to the Kramer videos
I'd love to see a Gibson Howard Roberts Fusion 1 on here if you can get your hands on one! :)
You should do a review on a real prince cloud guitar.
How can one even find "deals" here? For the most part what I see is overpriced, non cared for stuff
It’s a straight up heist. My only thought is it’s a way for people to be “charitable “ and still get something out of it. Nothing else makes sense.
@@Wargasm644 Goodwill doesn't care about the little niche world of 'real guitars'. It cares about helping people who need jobs.
@@RideAcrossTheRiver well, that definitely went a whole new direction. 🙄 Stay on topic with your ADHD 😂
Actually, the Silvertone Apocalypse is from 2003 - 2004. Paul had a short lived endorsment with them.
Trogly u need to do a review and demo on an Eric Clapton sig strat
The action on the prince guitar really gave me a good laugh.
I ain’t seen that much action since I was a sailor in the Philippines🤣
You did well spotting the fake Austin. Another interesting show thanks a lot.
actually, I played bassoon in high school ... the five seconds was a bit of a short review!
Speaking of Silvertone, "Five Watt World" just posted a "Short History of Danelectro" about engineer Nat Daniel who designed and built Silvertone amps and guitars for Sears as well as the Danelectro branded gear
lol that stanley thing looks like the dudes you shoot in an old vid game called space invaders
Matthew Scott is gonna buy this
We have this every year since AliExpress began shipping them to the USA
I have a natural epiphone strat hanging on my wall...i like the scale length. The electronics are kinda lame
Pretty sure that j bass is a 92. I think MZ was the mim serial number in the 90s and the font on the words Jazz Bass in black like that was an early mim thing I think.
Trogly's in the HOUSE!!!
🤟
i have a Paul Stanley silvertone , its ok its a wall hanger now
Why not upgrade and make it a mod project? It would make for a killer Death Metal guitar! Does not really scream Rock though, unless you are a Misfits / Horror Rock type player
@@serpentsbane9166 im a les paul guy. i got the silvertone next to nothing, im not a pointy guitar guy like i was in the 80s lol
The Silvertone is from around 2008 or so.
