And when you look at slippi replays where you lose, you can usually pinpoint the moment you stopped trying as hard to win neutral. You can even see in this video by the end, that Moky stopped trying to win neutral. A lot of his deaths were sloppy or SD related, but his mentally was already affected. The best melee players are the players that can execute despite how bad things get. Mang0 will believe he has a chance to win until every stock is gone and done. And that’s how everyone should treat trying to win in Melee.

Puff has tools that allow you to be lame, but I don’t agree it automatically makes them lame to play with or against. Obviously I’ve never played against Hungrybox, and I might never, but I sure hope I win because I beat a sick Puff, not because I was able to overcome the “lame”ness.

I play Sheik so it isn't exactly the same matchup but uptilt to rest is a big problem for Sheik as well. Idk man, if I know a Puff is going to go for uptilt a lot, then I tell myself that I NEED to respect it. And if I get hit by it, I remind myself of that. I just figured a player of Moky's caliber would have a better grasp on that. Glad he reeled in the salt at the end though. Cause I was legitimately worried that this was going to be like, a friendship ender.
