I hope you don't take this the wrong way because I love your work. The thing is that both you and all your guests have very good (almost unreal) skin to begin with and that makes a lot of difference to the end results in the "barely there" foundation routine. I have redness and texture, and I'm sure most people have some kind of concern (spots, scars, sun damage, etc) that make it a bit of a challenge to wear the "no makeup makeup".
I would love to see how you would manage that because, in the end, I want my skin to look as polished and natural as yours, but my blank canvas isn't as blank (it's more like the moon surface if it was red and angry).

The French and European women in general put a lot of effort into their skincare. Also the food is different. They don’t eat as much sugar and processed food as Americans do and the dairy and wheat are both different as well (A2 cows and soft wheat). There are also a lot of other food additives & practices banned as well. I’ve learned a lot about what should go in my body as well as skincare lately since my skin is atrocious and I really wanted to get to the root of the problem. The struggle is real, Your not alone.
I agree! I eat well, I work on my skincare, I have clear skin but I still have redness & dryness in areas & wish she would do tutorials on someone with combination skin. Everyone looks airbrushed before they even start applying makeup!

I love Lucy Williams! And I LOVE your techniques and the way you apply makeup! I work at a cosmetics retailer and am required to wear foundation but I prefer my skin when I just use a bit of concealer to cover up my dark circles and no foundation. I just bought the eye crayon and I am obsessed, cream eyeshadows are one of my favorite textures to work with. I also picked up La Rosé but haven't had a chance to try it out yet but can't wait to play with that one too!

Ah I just wish you’d work with someone who doesn’t have perfect skin! I have clear skin but I still have blemishes & redness and I do know quite a bit about beauty, but still every time I try one of your looks I find it’s nowhere near enough coverage or makeup to make me look flawless look Lucy or the other girls your work with. Maybe one day you can work with someone with combination skin that’s not so clear or all one tone!
Yes! Totally agree with you. I finally got out of my acne prone skin phase, but i'm left with blemishes, hyper pigmentation and textured skin, so it is hard sometime to rock the no makeup make-up look.

Hi Violette, I always love your makeup looks and technique in applying makeup. I have to tell you though that I ordered your Poppy Savage collection ( except the balm) and I was soooo disappointed. The blush duo had absolutely no color payoff and was so sheer that no matter how much I tried to build it up, it wouldn't. I was so excited about the eye palette, but the glitter colors were very patchy and did not apply well. I did love the lipstick so I will keep that. The tears are real! :((

I'm sure that Double Wear Foundation is great for a lot of skin types, but it's not very hygienic and it could be contamined with bacteria. I would put a pump on it, a lot of people struggle with bacterial acne (aka me). But still, great video, love using hands for make-up. Washable, warm, smooth and relaxing when massaging moisturizer or foundation into the skin.

Not sure where you are at. But the US EsteeLauder.com site has all of the products available now except the Soft Glow and eye pencil.
The US must‘ve had a restock. The collection launched there first, if I recall correctly. I‘m from Germany and I‘d pay a lot on shipping plus taxes:( I‘m desperately hoping for another restock. Don’t know when I missed the launch here.
I'm in Italy and the official launch on Estee Lauder's site was just two days ago...and the eye pencil is already out of stock. :(

Where is the spf in all this? All that rubbing and blending would move it around if it’s under the foundation. I find that to be true with and the only way to apply products over spf is using a damp sponge in a stippling motion..

RobbyJulietta I Dr two hours because the Estee Lauder site said it was in that city and none of the stores got it! I am so upset. The stores said I needed to drive another hour over that city and they might have the line! I gave up. They didn't make enough for the American market!

Lucy Williams is a very good looking woman, but she seems kind of cold compared to violette...
Lucy seems very "affected"....she's constantly rearranging her hair flicking it back and forward of her ears. When Violette asked her if she has any makeup on Lucy is a little vague "just some concealer and stuff" is her reply. I think she's wearing quite a lot of "stuff" which accounts for her perfect looking skin.
