Pamela Whiting editing is the best! I’m sure there are classes that help without having to spend all your coins on a degree though. I should look into that as well since I just got a new program. Thanks so much for watching Pam!
Great video! I’m so glad that you enjoyed learning about radio and television, and I’m glad that you had the opportunity to intern at local TV stations. I’m just puzzled at the fact that you say that you graduated with a bachelors degree in radio and television, but that you are a admissions counselor. You also say that in your opinion, it wasn’t a waste of time for you to go and get a bachelors degree in radio and television, but yet, you’re working in an industry that’s not the one you majored in. Of course, we are all different and we have different point of views on this topic, but if it were me, I would be pretty upset. I would be pretty upset because let’s face it, college is expensive and the amount of time that a person spends taking general education courses, aside from taking classes that have to do with their major, is a lot. I really don’t think that people go to college to get a degree in A, but later on end up getting a job in B. Again, I am glad that it worked out for you, but I respectfully disagree that saying that college is not a waste of time when you get a job in a field that you didn’t spend an insane amount of money to learn is ok. To me, that wouldn’t be achieving my own ultimate goal.
I respect that greatly! I just took it as gaining more knowledge in a specific area which in my eyes isn’t a waste of time . I’m currently enrolled and pursuing another bachelors in something totally different, occupational safety and health , and who knows where I’ll apply that to but I love to learn . I appreciate your feedback and comment! Thank you for sharing ☺️
As a Communications major graduate, there are times I doubted myself whether the decision for me to transfer from Computer Science to Communication Arts was worth it. Plus the fact that career-wise, I felt I peaked too soon. I'm a career sportswriter, and getting to cover sports leagues and events live is what I consider a dream job. However, I suffered from burnout and a decade later, I find myself doubling as a financial consultant and freelance writer. Which I don't mind really because both tracks answer my food for the stomach and my food for the soul. Here in the Philippines, going into media and news isn't lucrative unless you're an on-cam talent or you have a technical skill where you can have a side hustle going (eg, video editing). Then again, maybe the fact I am still hustling as a freelance writer, so I have not totally turned back on that passion of mine. The difference is, I'm not covering a beat, and to relate it to the video, I get to do content at my own terms. Was it worth it? I say it was. Why pursue a degree where my interests and skills do not align with and make (college) life harder as it was? Besides, there are so many paths to go for a professional writer/Communications major besides the media industry. Right now I'm working as a copywriter in the marketing department of a gaming company. When I already thought that I have plateaued, life opens a window for me.
I loved this video...... you are radiating positivity 😊 I can't wait to come back to RUclips and IG and make more videos and posts, as for now work is getting the best of me 😂 Stay blessed, girl 😘
You are a very intelligent , pretty , and outgoing young woman Michelle. Any type of Education is never a waste of anyone"s time. Your videos capture my attention and provide me with fresh new ideas.. thank you
Very informative video, just returning to college and looking into this degree. Any tips while in this program or do you know anyone one who I could reach out to at UCF?
I love editing so much, it is literally my favorite part of this RUclips thing. A part of me wants to go back to school to learn how to be a pro!

I definitely agree with you. Many jobs will just ask for you to have a bachelors degree and do not really care what your field of study was in.
Exactly right
