To re-upholster something like your father’s chair you can use foam, and a heavier fabric. I think using decorative tacks to accent the borders looks grand. Everything looks so beautiful ❤

I love the way you reuse and recycle what you have. Very clever! In the USA very few children attend boarding school. Boarding school is too expensive and very few people can afford it.
@RobinMallary Here in Kenya when children are through with primary school,most of them go to boarding high schools though we also have day secondary schools and they are fairly priced depending on whether they are private or government schools.

So, I will comment through the video. You are correct I am a former designer of kitchen, bathrooms, and cabinetry. I keep certain boxes and containers so that I can purchase fabric and cover them using them later to store things like a tea set I purchased for my patio. Later when your electricity gets connected you will need a hot glue gun to do these kinds of projects.

What a beautiful make over. I live in the USA and I have made placemats from cardboard and material as well. Even vases with plastic containers. It is good to repurpose items and not be wasteful. I am glade you are going to redo your father's chair. It is not hard to re-upolster dining room chairs, especially because the foundation of the chair is still firm.

Congrats on your new chairs. I bet the girls will be much more comfortable now at dinnertime. Please place Jimmy on a pillow, until he grows up a little! He looks so tiny in the big chair! Hopefully, in the near future you'll be able to buy wooden chairs for your dinning room, and move the plastic ones into your outdoor patio. I hope you are successful in reupholstering your beautiful chair. With your crafting and artistic skills, I am sure it will be an easy and fun project.
