Thank you for this video, it helped shift my perspective on creativity a bit and encouraged me slightly. 've been in a rut lately as a design student who was always aware of my own limitations in a field that is often overlooked, and even though much discussion and encouragement (occasionally) occurs in school and the friends around me, your video definitely helped in giving form and some answers to the nature of creativity. Great video and pacing, thank you for the inclusiveness and encouragement to all creatives out there, professional or otherwise!
Great video again! Tho I feel like someone should tell you there is a miss-match between the audio and the video. It's not always that it happens but maybe rewatch it so that you can find it because it happens almost half the time. Maybe fix it and reupload the video because it's a great one and your channel is going to grow a lot more for sure :)
Very much appreciated. Spot on and simply blunt. I've been privileged to be able to spend most of my time in creative learning. In my own time in the classroom I tried to help my students understand that only they could do what they were doing- no one else in the whole history of the world. Thank you also for stressing the sensory part. It's the root of the process of how and what we learn.
I agree, but only to a point. I think that creativity is an aptitude, on a scale. Can it be learned? Yes, possibly, maybe. But only to a point. The most creative people have aptitudes for creative thinking. In the same way that a gifted mathematician has an aptitude for logical thinking and being able to hold compex concepts in their mind. Now, I can learn all the time, and try to be a better mathematician... but I'll never be great one. Or even a good one. Or even competent. I've tried over the decades, in a variety of ways, but I'm not *wired* that way. The same thing goes for piano. I try very hard, but I find every thing about it difficult. Whereas I don't have to try very hard when I'm drawing or writing... it feels more natural. I think it's the same for artists and creatives. I *can* teach my engineer friend how to design more effectively, and to develop an appreciation for design. But it's very unlikely he'll ever be a great designer or artist. He's not wired that way. I think we have to understand that we are all different, with different aptitudes.
Creativity sure requires learning. Are people born creative in a certain field? May be not. I think it all starts when we are kids. The environment we grow in. The things we often see, hear and do as kids shape our mental structure and interests. The things that are unintentionally forced upon us by parents, teachers, people, circumstances and opportunities create our neural networks. And it keeps growing with us. Combined with practice on our part. That's how talent is created.
This video is really really helpful in getting a different perspective about creativity and what really creativity means. Thank you so much for this video.🙏🙏

Yes! There are so many variables around what makes us creatives that it really is something quite unique to each one of us. Thank you for sharing!

Very well researched and thought out video. Deserves a lot more views.
Thanks a lot 😊
Creativity and curiosity demands time and leisure, so In a sociaty based in quickness and production, theres no space for that.
