- We go hypermiling on India's most fuel efficient car, the Maruti Suzuki Celerio. This was the manual MT version and we decided to extract as much as possible from this hatchback. We drove the car without the air-con running, at speeds of 50-60km/h and with a load of two people on board.
What was the final outcome after 210 km? Watch the video till the end to know the result. This was a proper tankful to tankful run.

I am using ZXI AMT petrol version of this car from last 2 months and completed around 2000KM. I got 25.0 to 25.6 Kmpl with average speed between 90-105 with AC on at level 4 person. I am happy with this car
Alto k10 has same engine but arai claimed mileage of it is less than this celerio

i am using zxi petrol version of this car from last 7 months and completed around 7000KM. I got 23.3 to 23.6 Kmpl with average speed between 90-105 with AC on at level 1 single person. I am happy with this car
reduce your speed to 80s and see the magic
@@epedso4417 you are right but its not practical to drive at around 70-80 during long drive of around 180-200 KM 3 times in week. i am happy with the mileage figure

I've been driving the new 2022 Celerio for the last four weeks in South Africa. It's mainly been relatively sedate highway driving with typical speeds around 80 kmph (50 mph). I've covered 1466 km & consumed 64.32 litres of petrol, which works out at 22.8 km/litre. The trip computer suggests a more optimistic 24.4 km/litre. While this is very creditable, it's not quite as good as my 'old style' Celerio in the UK, which recently returned 26.5 km/litre (based on tank fill) on a long motorway run.
One thing that wasn't mentioned in your video was carbon dioxide emissions. Driving the Celerio at 50 kmph equates to roughly 57.6 grams of CO2/km. That's way better than most EVs driven on typical mixed source grid electricity!

In India, car makers & government don't provide CO2 emissions figures for car models like international market, They Actually should! and ESP should also be made standard in our country.
@@blue280485 Actually I've just today come back from another holiday in South Africa, where I've been driving around for the last three weeks in another 2022 Suzuki Celerio. Overall I achieved fuel economy of 25.5 km/litre or 72.0 mpg (imperial) on the trip computer. Shame they don't import the Indian-made Celerio into the UK. It's an incredibly fuel efficient little car.
@@blue280485 Hi again. I just got my rental car invoice back. They brimmed the fuel tank, presumably to the same level I picked the car up in. I can now authoritatively say that over three weeks, I did 1,841 km consuming 72.6 litres of petrol. That works out at 25.358 km/litre which, more or less, is what the trip computer said. For any Brits reading this, that's 71.58 mpg which is quite incredible given that there are lots of long steep hills in the Western Cape & there's no way you can even think about driving 'optimally' when you've got a bloody great bakkie driving right up your arse!!

Unrealistic mileage runs without Ac or even little traffic is as good as ARAI claiming mileage , at the end of day what does this test imply ?

june mai without a/c, damn son, it is an 'extreme' run. But bro subah ke 6:30 bje is not realistic city traffic condition. 9 0 clock se test shuru hona chaiye and there no use of such economy run as it is not realistic or practical.

Both wifey & I have the old 2016 model Celerio AGS. They are easily the most fuel efficient cars I've ever encountered & happily average 72 mpg (25.7 kilometres per litre). That's a long-term average so includes for UK winter use, short trips, stop-start driving as well as long motorway trips (max speed 56 mph or 90 kph). When you do the numbers, these small, lightweight, efficient ICE cars are superior to most EVs in terms of their CO2 emissions. Eat your heart out Elon Musk!!

My venue 2022 facelift gave 20.70kmpl in 1240kms trip with all condition drive city and highway coverd with 5 healthy adults and 3 kids 2 years below with 1 large trolley, 2 hand lift baggage and 2 college bags loaded... Apart from this on my single journey to office it gives 22- 23kmpl total running kms of my car is 1800 kms.. 1st service not done yet

Ecosport(D) at 60 speed with a single person drive gives 33+ as RPM remains at 1300/1400 with AC on.

You should weight and fill petrol again as there is always sone air trapped in and after a while petrol will settle down.

Yes, the fuel economy run was done on a manual transmission car
You should try to do mileage test at a same time for 2-3 cars of same segment, all with same ac speed, same speed etc etc. Like mileage test of baleno altroz i20 etc.
We did it once for city petrol manual, city petrol auto and city diesel..so check :-)

We have a hyundai santro and i drove it for 5 yrs. I got the last five years because the car was purchased when i was studying in 8th standard. So i couldn't drive it in the first phase of its life.after 13 years of santro,my parents decided to buy a new car.Need amt because mom wants to drive it ,and thanks to modiji,oil price was 116₹/l ,so they decided to go for celerio amt.trust me,if you are any other brand user,dont go for maruthi as of now... because the weightless ness and soft suspension is going to drive you nuts....also the amt is super aggressive as it is meant for mileage .i suggested grand i10 nios and tata tiago,but they didnt even went to the showrooms to see those cars....in short ,if you are from anyother brand ,and you love driving,dont go for maruthi,atleast dont go for cheap maruthis....

At 75 to 90 kmph I made 26kmpl with my Tata Altroz on Delhi Chandigarh highway
If I do in same conditions at 50 to 70 kmph. I think I can easily do 30 kmpl

Any 3 cylinder car without AC and speed of 60-70 can give an avg of 25+ KMPL. The main point is itna paisa dalke ac on nahi kiya tho Car kyun liya.

The last sentence is called privilege. Just because you have ac doesn't mean you have to use it compulsorily. Maruti Alto has non ac version for hill stations and taxis, so not everything revolves around one person.

I've been driving Celerio CNG since last 3 months and 4000kms. On highways in between 75-85kmph I am able to achieve mileage between 37-40kmpl with AC on all time

why don't you do a standard test for all cars? In some cars you have ac on, some have ac off. also speeds and rpm vary. Please set a standard have ac on for all the tests and speed same at may be 90kmph which is what we do on highway atleast. i find your tests meaningless although im your fan

ऐसा कोई टेस्ट सिर्फ एक रेकॉर्ड बना सकता है । रोज की जिंदगी मे इस की उपयोगिता कुछ भी नही है । वहां ये भी गाडी 16 से 18 के उपर नही जाएगी ।
150 किमी/लीटर नही निकला मायलेज इनके लाईट फुटेड गाडी चलाने के अंदाज से. ये तो मारुती की cng गाडीयों का सौभाग्य है, वर्ना कहीं की न रहती ये cng गाडिया.
