Nice simple design. I lowered it into the ground (atop a hill) and made one side in glass so it's kinda like an antfarm. I had a problem with kids spilling over and running amok, but after hunting them down and... and putting them in an orphanage where they all get toys and breakfast, I took out the trapdoor in the middle and that seems to have worked. Hey guys, if your having a hard time getting these guys to breed quickly, remove the fence gate between them. I couldn't get more than two villagers in the grow chamber until I removed the gate now I can get as many as I need at once
Best villager breeder, i gave the villagers a couple stacks of bread and they made 6 baby villagers in a mater of a minute. Thanks silent for making a easier and better build for Minecraft farms in the future!
Thank you for this villager breeder farm. Actually I really don't like making villager breeders like this but it really is such a hassle going from one village to another to trade for stuff so I decided (finally) to make a villager trading hall. Of course I'll need a villager breeder for the hall so here we are. Again, thank you. ps. It is still working as of Oct. 27, 2022.
I just have 2 villagers and 3 beds next to a nether portal. There is a 1 block tall gap that only allows the babies to go through into the other dimension, which causes them to disconnect from the third bed and allows the villagers to breed more. Been using this trusty strategy since the beginning of time!
Love it! Worked straightaway once I took the trapdoor out. I'm doing your golem and trading day too, so now just to connect them both. Thanks! Easy and clear vid to follow.
How did you connect the two? Sorry for the year late comment but I’m trying to do this exact thing, taking these villagers into the iron farm, how do you start the iron farm?
@@erroricuI transported the villagers using tracks to the trading hall (from the outside). My iron farm was built on top of the trading hall so the iron dropped into chests in the center.
It's over 12 months ago, but from memory I built exactly as the tutorial, but removed the trap door. I was playing on an iPad in survival for this world.
As someone who only watches people who play Java, but can't afford a gaming pc to play it myself, I'm always confused on the differences between each version. Thanks for the tutorial!
Ok so I’ve built your breeder step by step and I built exactly what you just told me. But when I put those two villagers in the chamber, one of them suddenly claimed a profession, and he absolutely refuses to breed, even if I give him any crops he just won’t accept it other than his companion. Any ideas how to fix?
I was having problems with this breeder, my babies would dive into the water and at the bottom, just a tiny bit of their forehead would still be in the water and they would eventually make their way into the adult part. Made a copy of the world and went into creative and had the same problem was going to post here asking for help but found the fix. Removing the source water from above the buttons (so the only water that you put down was the first one) got the breeder working again. Love the vide
What is the purpose of the trap door? My villagers never breed automatically with it’s presence. 1 villager kept throwing potatoes at the other village while the other villager kept ignoring him until I opened the trap door under him. I could only breed them twice in a session before having to quit and return in order to continue the process until I decided to break the trap door and now they’re breeding much more
@@coreybrisiel5516 the reason why they stopped is either because there aren’t enough beds or bread If neither options work, try replacing the villagers
Thank you so much for these tutorials! I just started a new world that is going to be my new PERMANENT world and these are so useful. I used this one and the trading hall one. Thank You!
1.20, atill works. Do not place the trapdoor. I've only gotten the villagers to breed after a few (30-60) seconds. Make sure you have mob griefing turned on. Two stacks of carrots give you ~8 baby villagers. I wonder if it is possible to hook an automated villager wheat/carrot farm to the breeder, with a hopper that is connected to a dispenser powered by a redstone clock. It should feed the villagers in the breeder automatically without player intervention and the only thing you will need is to afk for a few minutes.
Can confirm, as of 2/13/2023 no trap door and make sure beds are placed at eye level to the frisky fellows in the box, and you will have babies EVERYWHERE!
Thanks Silent. I have run into an issue since 1.18.12. As the babies fall down, they are jumping in the water stream and getting pushed into the adult chamber.
had this problem but i just found a solution. to fix it i replaced the chests with waterlogged lower slabs, and moved the flowing water down a block so it's only one layer.
I’ve just made it, removed the trap door and it’s still not working. They’ve definitely linked to the beds. I’ve traded with them both and put workstations close by. Nothing happens. When I throw them wheat, they don’t take it. Any suggestions?
Just what I needed lmao. My previous survival world got corrupted l, and I had to make a new one. I was literally just thinking about starting a new trading hall
@@silentwisperer ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Have you gotten the "Star Trader" achievement? It was very annoying, because you have to get a villager to the build limit. I lost about 20 villagers getting the achievement
Quick NOTE: feeding both villagers at the top may cause baby villagers to go into the adult cell. can get rid of them and nit wits, use mine cart to take them out, drop baby's into a holding area till they grow. push the nit wits into an area with an air block bellow, and a full block above . they suffocate very quick
@@Just_vibing327 you can wait for them to grow up, or you put the cart in same place as for the adults, and put them in a holding area until they grow up
Works amazing. One thing to make it easier to feed the two top villagers is to have 2 dispensers full of food facing the villagers and attach a simple redstone clock (7 Redstone dust and 2 repeaters) if they don't have any food in their inventory.
What happened to iron farms? I built your 1.17 iron farm and it still works just I get decreased rates. I know there were changes but how do they affect your previously made iron farms? Is there anyway I can adjust my current farm without making a brand new one? Or will there be a new farm design soon to accommodate the new changes?
@@silentwisperer I need to make quad iron farm but I need your help silent I don't know how much distance should I maintain between Iron farms and village so please check your Twitter account I mentioned you in tweet
Chek if you have enough villagers. If you just have 19 it doesn’t work to it’s full potential. You have to have 20 villagers to get the most rates from your iron farm.
A tip to start breeding them if you don't have enough food: You can make one of them a Fletcher and trade 32 sticks for one emerald, then you make the other villager a farmer and buy 6 loaves of bread for one emerald.
Today is 12 Oct 2024, playing on XboxOne Series X, Bedrock v 1.21.31, it still works perfectly, I followed the tutorial to the letter and it's all good. Didn't have to remove the trapdoor or make any changes. The only thing that might trip anyone up is at 3:28 he says to place another one of the stained white glass blocks opposite one of the buttons, truth is, if you followed the tutorial to the letter that block is already there.
This works wonders! I've never build a villager breeder before so I thought it would fail but now I have enough to run my trading hall and my iron farm! Thank you!
6:54 "Or even beetroot, if you're some sort of monster" 😆. Yes, we're trapping them in a glass box for eternity and forcing them to mate through a trapdoor, but there's no need to make it make it unpleasant...
Great video again silent but I'll use this when the "villager despawning bug" is fixed, 3 times this week alone all villagers in my iron farm, trading hall and breeder have despawned on realms, there's literally no point in doing anything with villagers until this is fixed
Thank you! I just started a new world with a village island spawn and due to villagers not being very bright, all but 2 are gone so I desperately need a way to make more ... well, as soon as I make the village dummyproof lol
Just build my second breeder in my survival world (1.20.72). I did replace the 2 glass blocks above the 2 breeding adults with 2 dispensers that I filled up with bread, but still need to test it in case the bread falls to the bottom. All that I have left to do now is to find a good, working iron farm and villager trading hall build tutorial
Works perfectly in ps4 1.19 Bedrock. Thanks to you i'm well on my way to making my villager trading hall :) infact i'm gonna watch your villager trading hall vid now to get er goin!
so i decided to afk it and when I came back, I kid you not, there was witches in place of the top villagers and zombified villagers in the baby and adult chambers. I even had torches everywhere. How should I deal with this?
I'm having trouble getting them to breed. I've thrown stacks on stacks to the villager, but it's just standing still. No cheats, xbox, newest update of 1.18. I did build it underground so maybe I should let in some sunlight? Edit: let it sunlight. No effect. Los iij ng interest in that world anyway
Thanks for the tutorial, I'm in need of a villager breeder, like that you can put it into the ground, am currently creating something to hold the breeder in creative to incorporate when I do my villager breeder on my world. Keep up the great tutorials, they are appreciated by many, myself included.
Nice! I like the floordesign on the breeding chamber, will definitely update my current breeder with that 👍. Also, you shouldn’t let your hatered of beets blind you to their use as villager feed. Even if they are somehow picked up by the babies, they have the benefit of being ”inert” which make them arguably better for this particular purpose than potatoes or carrots (that could theoretically be planted). They are also somewhat cheaper than bread (the other ”inert” option).
1.18 slime fram and Wich fram but what would be fun would be to use villagers as amo for some sort of weapon to kill fantims. Well maybe not to make or use but to woch
I am actually heart-shattered to say this farm doesn't work in 1.18.30 Bedrock, it was such a pain to get the villagers to the farm due to my seed, I have prepared a stack of 8 carrots for each villager, I gave it to them, AFK an hour, not a single baby was breed
I thought this too, I’ve been pulling my hair out for the last few days trying to get it to work as it just suddenly stopped. I even replaced the villagers and wasted upwards of 20 stacks of food and nothing was working. I, just before giving up, removed the trapdoor to see if it made a difference and it’s working completely fine again so that’s all you need to do to fix it. Just annoyed I wasted so much time.
@@silentwisperer yeah, I built the old one a while back and I was confused as to how my villager escaped the boat. The villager's escape was short-lived, however, as he soon died to a zombie with an iron shovel.
Just built on a new world and it wasn't working for me. the I realized I had mob griefing turned off, because my 5 year old son was playing earlier. once I turned off "mob griefing" the villagers started taking food and making baybayz - Thanks Silent!
Does anyone have any advice? Even after removing the trapdoor, and filling both villagers inventories completely with food, they will not breed/no hearts. What else could the problem be?!
Hey silent i found a new way od making a villager breeder First you put two villagers in a boat then push that boat in a bether portal they wont go through it bc mobs in boat cant go through portals but when they will bread since the boat already has two villager it will instantly go to the nether which i think helps with the efficiency
hello, first of all thank you for the tutorial, i did build it in my new 1.18 world and at the beginning it worked perfectly fine! :D but after around 30 villagers they stopped breeding… i did add more beds and threw them around 8 stacks of potatoes but no baby in sight… do you maybe know what else i could do to make the breed again? or do i have to start from scratch? :/
built this thing on java edition, had to remove the middle trapdoor, remove the roof and change some of the topper side glass blocks with vertical trapdoors as well. Only then the "angy villager" particles stopped appearing and the farm started working. (oh yeah and the buttons are destroyed by water, had to use signs instead)
not sure if anyone else is seeing this issue, but if there are alot of babies in the bottom area, the grown up villagers cannot flow freely into the adult chamber and end up drowning
Make sure your following the same exact steps shown here 2:25 break and replace with water source the 2 specific temporary blocks, leaving the middle one without water source.
I've used this build before but I didn't place the trap door because someone said to not do it in the latest patch but now they threw the bread at each other and just stare at each other intimately
PROTIP DEBUG (copy and paste from wiki): Villagers do not accept food or farm food themselves if gamerule "mobgriefing" is set to false. This makes villager breeding only possible with 'mobgriefing' set to true, as villagers cannot become fully "willing" without food.
Probably would be nice to recreate this mechanic in a flying machine, so we can get librarians from multiple biomes after the trading rebalance becomes permanent.
This works, cheers, but I would recommend re-building the glass a couple blocks higher to cover the villagers, if they get struck by lightning I believe they can turn into witches
I did a crossbreed with BobertPickles. His top half, you're bottom half. I never need to worry about feeding the villagers, and no extra babies until I pull them out of the system.

Any ideas how to fix?
same problem
@@perosinalmc7143 have you removed the trapdoor?
@@perosinalmc7143 same
take out the trapdoor. heard it works for most when you do that
I was having problems with this breeder, my babies would dive into the water and at the bottom, just a tiny bit of their forehead would still be in the water and they would eventually make their way into the adult part.
I could only breed them twice in a session before having to quit and return in order to continue the process until I decided to break the trap door and now they’re breeding much more
My villager keeps throwing bread to the other one. Do you think breaking the trap door would help?
They bred alot for a bit then haven't since
@@coreybrisiel5516 the trap door is useless
@@coreybrisiel5516 the reason why they stopped is either because there aren’t enough beds or bread

I just build this on my realms. It is working with a nitwit. It is an awesome farm. Now I can start my trading hall.
Can confirm, as of 2/13/2023 no trap door and make sure beds are placed at eye level to the frisky fellows in the box, and you will have babies EVERYWHERE!
thank. you. i couldnt get this to work for ages until i moved the beds higher. life saver
Such perfect timing I'm in the middle of making your crazy iron farm and I'm having trouble with the previous villager breeder with the new update
Thanks Silent. I have run into an issue since 1.18.12. As the babies fall down, they are jumping in the water stream and getting pushed into the adult chamber.
i have this problem aswell
had this problem but i just found a solution. to fix it i replaced the chests with waterlogged lower slabs, and moved the flowing water down a block so it's only one layer.
Can u just replace the chest with honeyblocks?
@@Odien222zxs no, that doesn't work. read my comment above for the fix.
Great design! the only issue i had was that once time a baby villager somehow ended up in the adult spot (he was the only one there though)
Tested in the latest version of Minecraft Bedrock and it works perfect, only modification needed was to remove the trapdoor
I’ve just made it, removed the trap door and it’s still not working. They’ve definitely linked to the beds. I’ve traded with them both and put workstations close by. Nothing happens. When I throw them wheat, they don’t take it. Any suggestions?

ah man sorry to hear that:(
@@silentwisperer ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Have you gotten the "Star Trader" achievement? It was very annoying, because you have to get a villager to the build limit. I lost about 20 villagers getting the achievement
Quick NOTE:
feeding both villagers at the top may cause baby villagers to go into the adult cell.
can get rid of them and nit wits,
use mine cart to take them out, drop baby's into a holding area till they grow.
push the nit wits into an area with an air block bellow, and a full block above . they suffocate very quick
where would i place the mine cart to get them out?
Or will there be a new farm design soon to accommodate the new changes?
all my recent iron farms work perfectly. there basically hasn't been any meaningful changes in a couple years now:)
@@silentwisperer I need to make quad iron farm but I need your help silent I don't know how much distance should I maintain between Iron farms and village so please check your Twitter account I mentioned you in tweet
@@jkplays8512 I’m pretty sure if you leave about 100 blocks you should be fine... I did with no problems at all
His iron farm doesn't decrease rate, its always been that rate
Chek if you have enough villagers. If you just have 19 it doesn’t work to it’s full potential. You have to have 20 villagers to get the most rates from your iron farm.
A tip to start breeding them if you don't have enough food: You can make one of them a Fletcher and trade 32 sticks for one emerald, then you make the other villager a farmer and buy 6 loaves of bread for one emerald.
Do you have to build this, an iron farm, and a trading hall a certain distance apart?
Converted the older build I had on my PS4 realm and this version works great. No more issues with the boat. Yay!!
Thank you!
Great timing! I’m about to build one. Thank you! I was just about to build the old boat one, but was worried about the boat bugs.
Same, I need villagers for my trading hall and this is perfect timing!
That boat bug has been causing me a lot of trouble lately
Literally yesterday I was thinking that I needed a village breeder. Fantastic.
6:54 "Or even beetroot, if you're some sort of monster" 😆. Yes, we're trapping them in a glass box for eternity and forcing them to mate through a trapdoor, but there's no need to make it make it unpleasant...
Ok so I built this next to one your raid farms and when the raid was completed they all blew themselves up with fireworks and it was pretty funny
Is sending the babies to the nether still viable for an infinite breeder?
Great video again silent but I'll use this when the "villager despawning bug" is fixed, 3 times this week alone all villagers in my iron farm, trading hall and breeder have despawned on realms, there's literally no point in doing anything with villagers until this is fixed
Any idea when this is being fixed. Thought I was going mad, they kept disappearing. Got mine all traded up and then gone :(
Just a heads, mob griefing needs to be enabled for the villagers to breed!
Thank you! I just started a new world with a village island spawn and due to villagers not being very bright, all but 2 are gone so I desperately need a way to make more ... well, as soon as I make the village dummyproof lol
Love ❤️ how simple and efficient it Is thank you 🙏🏼
Just build my second breeder in my survival world (1.20.72).
I did replace the 2 glass blocks above the 2 breeding adults with 2 dispensers that I filled up with bread, but still need to test it in case the bread falls to the bottom.
All that I have left to do now is to find a good, working iron farm and villager trading hall build tutorial
if u looking for crazy iron farm go look at jWats05's 11k per hour iron farm
200,000 villagers are ready, with a million more well on the way

so i decided to afk it and when I came back, I kid you not, there was witches in place of the top villagers and zombified villagers in the baby and adult chambers.

Break the trap door. :-)
@@izaakmcquade bro i was so confused why mine wasnt working phahaha

Hey silent i found a new way od making a villager breeder
First you put two villagers in a boat then push that boat in a bether portal they wont go through it bc mobs in boat cant go through portals but when they will bread since the boat already has two villager it will instantly go to the nether which i think helps with the efficiency
hello, first of all thank you for the tutorial, i did build it in my new 1.18 world and at the beginning it worked perfectly fine! :D
but after around 30 villagers they stopped breeding… i did add more beds and threw them around 8 stacks of potatoes but no baby in sight… do you maybe know what else i could do to make the breed again? or do i have to start from scratch? :/

@@adomaszowec5 i have tried everything to make it work again but no luck for me… built a new one around 500 blocks away and it worked perfectly again
built this thing on java edition, had to remove the middle trapdoor, remove the roof and change some of the topper side glass blocks with vertical trapdoors as well. Only then the "angy villager" particles stopped appearing and the farm started working. (oh yeah and the buttons are destroyed by water, had to use signs instead)
I did this and gave them 7 stacks of bread and traded with them but it still wont make more than 16 villagers
Its working now 🎉
OK IDK Followed everything and all they do is toss food back n forth even took out trap door as recommended by comments and still nothing. any ideas?
give a bit more food
not sure if anyone else is seeing this issue, but if there are alot of babies in the bottom area, the grown up villagers cannot flow freely into the adult chamber and end up drowning
A lot of my villagers are drowning. I built it correctly and like 40-50% of the villagers drown as soon as they grow.
Make sure your following the same exact steps shown here 2:25 break and replace with water source the 2 specific temporary blocks, leaving the middle one without water source.
Or just let them keep dying. Villagers cause so much problems.
Thank you so much for your comment, I was building the farm in a test world and they were not breathing and I could not figure out why
omg that was what was killing my farm i bult it in so many locations i was going insain
Is there any way to do this on a realm without having to turn cheats on?
Probably would be nice to recreate this mechanic in a flying machine, so we can get librarians from multiple biomes after the trading rebalance becomes permanent.
I'm adding a trident killer.
Just built it with a carrot farm on top of it, put a couple farmers in there and a bunch of beds and it’s all automated
REMOVE GLASS ABOVE THE VILLAGERS. Make sure you add more glass on the side so they don't escape.
ill see if it works

This works, cheers, but I would recommend re-building the glass a couple blocks higher to cover the villagers, if they get struck by lightning I believe they can turn into witches
