It was pretty much the biggest meme in the game. Nothing ever happened, until today.

It was only possible to tip the iceberg during the last 3 months of the game being online (January 31 - March 30, 2017). It was the final event in the game.

I remember the limited "tour" hats that you could get, I wanted one so badly and when I finally got to get one, they were closed and my 6 year old ass started crying.
then my mother emailed the devs asking them if it was possible to bring it back, and they actually did bring back the chance to get it for 1 day and I was very happy about it.
The dev's are definently better than the Activision, Roblox, EA, Bethesda, and tiny build when the release the final product devs.

I remember in 2008 when you would always see a group of tireless souls mining away at the iceberg surface, even when the possibility of it flipping was only an obscure myth.
I remember that in 2007! Back then, I often tried to tip it. One day when I went to the town to get more people to help, I tried going back to the iceberg but the room was full. I was so nervous that the iceberg was going to tip without me!!
I also watched lots of (fake) RUclips videos of people tipping it. Many of the videos only had one penguin tipping it, so I thought the iceberg could only be tipped with one penguin on it. Without knowing the videos were fake, I went on near empty servers to try to tip the iceberg, and if another penguin came to the iceberg while I was trying to tip it, I would yell "GET OUT!"

I was in one of the servers last night when the iceberg tipping was just added. I remember Club Penguin when I was like 8 or 9. It was my second online game after Webkinz, and it was super fun. I remember seeing all those videos about the iceberg, and it supposedly tipping. Making the iceberg tippable is one hell of a way to send off the game.
Even though club penguin may be a joke now, I'm really gonna miss it. Thank you Club Penguin. Thank you for all the memories.

While you're probably saying "But how will we play again?" there was a fan site called Club Penguin Rewritten. It's just like old Club Penguin, without any membership at all. My brother and I (16 and 13) always played this as a kid. It was our childhood. I still vaguely remember where I put my old soft toy puffles😂 We had an orange, a pink and a white. We collected codes and payed for our membership. This game was the only strong sense of childhood memories I still have.
Emily Sage My sister did that as well. We only had one Puffle and it was the Pink one. She's 18 now and I'm 16. I missed the days where we would fight each other over who got to play club penguin that day. I traded my account with her for a Gameboy Colour that she got from a friend. Glad there's people with similar memories 😆

this game was my childhood. i had every puffle, every igloo, every code-unlock item. i finished the old secret agent missions, and the new ones. this was the only place for a lot of my childhood i felt welcome and appreciated.
i was abused for most of my childhood, physically and verbally. i was that weird kid in school, i had no friends. in the chances i'd have to escape i'd run to club penguin to talk with my friends, play with my puffles, and smile. i remember the tree near the recycling centre when it was just a sapling after they added the area. i remember friending rockhopper and crying because i was so excited. i'd save up my coins all year to donate to those bell ringer donation places at the end of the year. when i got out of my awful family situation i'd revisit club penguin again, to see the new features, to catch up with some old friends whom i'd not been able to talk to outside of the game. i'd tried so hard to tip the iceberg with them, and then laugh so hard my ribs hurt when our pan fell apart and we went to go play games again.
this is a perfect ending to an amazing game. i'll miss it so much
