Hi Nick saw the video the other day and love catching trout near the surface. Copied your idea but with a midge tip and caught 4 fantastic trout in a few hours. Thanks for the tip , it really is a fun way to fish.

@@stevetickner659 I tie my own, I would imagine they are not available commercially. The body and tail are gold and black mosaic wing material and the head is black spun deer hair - very simple, apart from the deer hair spinning!
H can i ask the make and model of the line? Only reason for asking i have just purchaced a reel with the same colour line on and it appears to be slow sinking like yours? Many thanks.

Eyebrook is on fire at the moment, I've been out twice since last weekend and had 60+ fish over the 2 days! Hi there, it is a Cortland SSI (Slow sink intermediate) which is the equivalent of an Airflo Slow Glass line. Thanks for watching and tight lines!
