Noel will be the most practical and ruthless MC among the recent anime protagonist.
During the whole episode I had this intense bad feeling in my guts about Red hair guy and couldn't put my finger on it... yet the ending still got me though.

This was not the kind of betrayal I was expecting, but after a twist ending like that, I cant wait to see more. 😱

I am very happy with this adaptation as the first episode. And I am very excited to see the rest. I really love the manga and I am very glad it ended with that betrayal.
And I hope you will cover this anime every week. I also hope this anime becomes popular.
One of the shows that I'm really looking forward to this season
This just hits different and leaves you wanting for more. The Betrayal was done interestingly. Watching this I just can't stop smiling and excited for what is coming next that ending especialy. The Monster design is unique and does not copy and paste monster from onther anime. The MC does feel like a mashup of characrters but in good while he is calm and collected but afraid to pull a gun on you and shoot at you if you piss him of and threaten him.
The Light Novel is so much better.
An anime where the Bard is the MC, seems cool

I went into this with an open mind. That ending sold me big time. Now I want to see what happens next.
This MC though may be one of the more interesting ones of the new shows I'm watching this season. He's rough but looking ahead to bigger things. Getting stabbed in the back by his own party doesn't surprise me.
Saw the betrayal coming a mile a way. Hope they get revenge to both of them.

Walter dude was talking shit but as soon as combat started, he not only acknowledges that the buffs are very helpful but he also finds a way to motivate Noel instantly, in his own way. No red flags on him thanks to these two things imo.
The other 2 seemed to be in a couple from the way he was holding her a few times and probably were aiming to save up and retire.
Was a decent first ep but gotta wait for main cast to appear to see how it goes.

Loved the 1st ep overall. I gotta wonder what he is gunna do about the party that ran. I wonder since he is the "The Most Notorious Talker" and his skill is all about his silver tongue then maybe hell like report them the the governing body about taking his share and getting them blacklisted from jobs or some such. Or will he just use his skill set to try and track them down, or perhaps just gives up on them and forms a new party. (Kinda hoping he blacklists them so they cant find work so they have to come back to him. Cause i mean really, you cant just take his share of the money. If ya want out fine just make sure your not stealing from him to do it.)

Okay this may not be the best thing that comes out this season but for a first episode I'm sold. It has some style to it and a bit of gore which is nice that they aren't pulling the censorship wall except when his grandfather was dying but that was a bit more grafic for TV to be fair.
I loved that rhey started with the flashback of Noel and his granddaughter who btw is a badass... Who gets a nickname Overdeath if they weren't a badass fighter back in the day and even when he died, he took down a whole army of demonic creatures.
Old age was his downfall... Maybe if he was just a second or two quicker, he may have been able to avoid having those fatal injuries.
Noel is the type of MC that doesn't follow the usual trend of dense, overpowered MC who gets every girl to follow him around but he also doesn't fit in with the edgy, I'm gonna kill everyone if you get in my way vibe. He's his own person and I respect that he wants to be as powerful if not even more than his grandfather was and he wants to do it as fast as possible.
And while we're on the subject Lloyd and Tanya are snakes. I understand why they'd run because those expenses, if it doesn't work out, you'd be shit out luck and you'd be paying off the debt for years upon years and going homeless quickly.
Noel didn't realise that forcing them all to pay up for a clan spot jn the capital with high interest rates and the taxes they'd pay for owning a building would be too much and too insane for them to take at that time.
The fact Lloyd suggested that they meet 2 days after that talk they had gave me a small red flag but I didnt think much of it but when Tanya stepped up and stopped him for a split second that's when I realised they were about to ditch our boy... And Walter surprisingly.
Walter was the only guy who was behind Noel in establishing the clan and considering he's been smack talking him for most of the episode, you'd think it'd be him who betraye the group but he was the most loyal... Now will he stay around? I hope he does... At least for the short term (like 5-6 episodes at least... Maybe even the whole season) long term I'm not sure if he's gonna be useful especially with how hot headed and his tendency to just snap at people makes him a bit of a liability but who knows.
I like the art... The animation (although nothing crazy) is decent enough and no CGI which is a good sign. The effect of the magic is really good imo and the world building and characters are interesting so I'm gonna keep up with this one and see where it goes... Hopefully it becomes a sleeper hit and more people join up to watch.

Pretty good first episode. Hopefully it continues being good and doesn’t drop off. I really liked bothe the OP and ED songs and from my experience, an anime is usually directed pretty well when they have a good OP and ED

So far with Uzumaki, Aristrocrat and Most Notorious Talker not counting the returning anime and others. The line up for fall anime is good so far. This really is intreesting premise and could be sleeper hit just The Ossan Newbie.

I have read both the light novels and manga and episode did a great job. The opening was fantastic and it looks great. For now, it seems the show is going based on the manga. Episode 2 is going to make it or break for people. I am personally looking forward to it. I am curious how much they cover. I saw somewhere say 12 episodes and seeing Leon be in the cast leads me to believe they will get to have half way of volume 2 of the light novel.

I prefer the other one, Let the Grieving Soul Retire. Both shows have more or less the same base formula, but I find Grieving Soul more entertaining.
the last moments of the show are the only thing to bring me back next week. up to that I was considering just shutting it off multiple times throughout the episode. maybe it'll get this new wave of it gets better as the season goes method.
i really enjoyed it up to the ending but the ending hooked me right in. but if the ending is the only thing that really sold you maybe it isn't for you but im sure you'll know better by episode 2!

I read the manga and yeah its cool and insane. MC in the manga is def more of a pretty boy and androgenous but with the artstyle its amazing. Rimiru tempest's jap va is literally the perfect choice for the role but oh well this va is fine. I really hope anime goes past the manga cause it feels like the manga is every 2 months. Def stick around for this one.
