Or do you still need the usual electric supply with meter just like most homes ? Or do you have both the connections, solar and regular electtic meter ?

      If enough Solar Panels are installed to match the Electricity load of your house then there will be high saving on your bills, esp. during the Day time. But at Night, your House will be running on conventional Electricity.

      @subham raj Just find out how much current it requires to fully charge your EV which will give you the answer based on each solar panel's capacity. Besides, mostly your vehicle will be in use during the day, so its charging will be done when the sun is down. In this case, you would need a hybrid system where the solar panel charges your inverter battery during the day and the battery charges your EV through the inverter during the night. You also need to check the battery requirement for the inverter to ensure that enough battery backup is there to fully charge your EV and similarly your solar panels are capable of fully charging your batteries during the day..

    In U.P, they charge 7.25 rs per unit and in turn give you around 2.25 rs per unit for your grid generation.. So if you have a space for 6.5kw solar panel then 75% chances are there that your monthly consumption will be around 900units roughly (i.e 30unit per day in Summer). You must be having atleast 2 A.C, 5Fans, 1 Fridge, 5Lights, 1MotorPump, 1Induction etc etc.. Most of which runs simultaneous.
    According to the data based on video 28units generated per day that will be 840units per month..
    Now,
    900(7.25) - 840(2.25) = 4365rs per month instead of 6525per month i.e 1890rs around roughly saved
    So, putting 2.5lakh it will take around 10yrs to recover. I don't see any good in that. Also No-one knows till when there won't be any changes in above buying charges because soon it will be going to be private 😃 Electricity Board (What if they deny to buy your electricity or decrease the price).

Chances are there that after summing upto 1000W at a time your these appliances can run all day long.
      Next, A.C and Heavy power consuming appliances can run direct by Metered Connection.
      This can get you upto 35% Savings in Summer and upto 60% Saving in Winter Seasons. Much better option than On-Grid system (relying on govt. policies).
      But this need proper wiring system and knowledge for the same to connect to a 2 Way switch for both Solar Energy and Metered Connection Electricity. Can be easier for new houses.
      Or Just Wait for Some Revolution to Change like Digitalization in India Today.

    • @nukem123
      @nukem123 4 года назад +2

      Two key assumptions are wrong in your assessment. 1. That’s not how net metering is calculated. In your example, it should be (900-840)*7.25, which is Rs 450 only. 2. Consumption is not static nor is generation. Some months consumption is higher (usually in summer) and some months generation (in autumn and spring). Depending on each case, generation may be more over the year.
      6.5 kWh in this case may be the peak demand, actual consumption may be lower. So one just can’t make a motherhood statement, it’s case specific.
