    The 3 biggest problems with solar installation which I feel are:
    1. If you do not own a house and live in flat you can not be a part of this.
    3. If you have your own 2 storied house, you install a solar grid and later on a multi-storey building project comes near your house which shadows your house during major daytime then your entire investment goes for a toss.
    3. In case of natural calamities and monsoon strong winds carry small and tiny pebbles which damage the solar panel.

      Didi has made it so much complicated, 😊 but it's part of her job to earn more customers.
      There are not too many types of panels, inverters or mountings. So users should not be made afraid of such undue complications.
      Host is requested to do same interview with a technician sitting in local market how he installs solar panel systems and it's routine maintenance etc... I'm sure he would ease out the topic and video won't be so lengthy as well.

    Thanks LLA for this great video! Inspired by this, I reached out to Solar Square for consultation. Somebody from Solar Square called me and after learning that my monthly bill is only about 1500 per month, they are NOT interested in providing the services. I was not sure if Solar Square provides services to only rich customers and if so, they must clearly declare that on their website. This will avoid unnecessary hassle for poor customers such as myself!

    • @dheerajyadav4736
      @dheerajyadav4736 2 года назад +15

      if your monthly bill is 1500 rs then u should not install solar system because it'll cost u more (not know exact amount) even after subsidy. And if u invest that amount somewhere else maybe u can get more returns yearly than this system. So from my point of view if your monthly electricity consumption is more than 2k than u should go for it or if you wants to install off-grid system to avoid power failure then u can go for it

      Hello Ajay, Sorry to hear that you felt this way. We provide solar systems for customers with bill above 1500 Rs. per month because its makes economic sense for consumers to buy systems of min. 2-3 kW in size. Below that the over heads and cost of solar is too high and leads to higher breakeven times. Hence, we recommend that customers with bills greater than 1500 Rs. buy solar for best benefits.

    22:17: IRR (internal rate of return): It shouldn’t be used to compare IRR of two mutually exclusive projects. Now, how “poly” and “mono” could be mutually exclusive projects - both produce electricity? The difference lies in the subsidy. Subsidy is available only on “Poly”. Poly’s efficiency keep decreasing with rate 0.7% per year but over 25 years, the panel loses 25% of its capacity (thanks to compound degradation) - and she says “Only 0.7% per year”. Was that a joke or sarcasm on her end? Am I that stupid to not even understand concept of compound interest?
    Now, add inflation on top of that - its already rising on average 6-10% per year (again compounding). While making investment decision, IRR is highly discouraged metric by academics but corporate managers prefer this because it fits in their tiny minds. The highly recommended metric to choose between two mutually executive projects is instead “NPV” (Net Present Value).
    In cases where one project has a higher initial investment than a second mutually exclusive project, the first project may have a lower IRR (expected return), but a higher NPV (increase in shareholders' wealth) and should thus be accepted over the second project (assuming no capital constraints).
    She is not being completely honest. Learn from her but don’t believe her when the topic of sales comes - that’s her bread, butter and knife.
    Choose “Mono” Panel.

      The question was left to calculate is for us only
      So can't tell how bad that maintenance gonna be but if in reference the system got damaged by 50% and we chose to reinstall the whole system again including that time inflation (approx half the time 12.5 yrs) and instead of 20 we're having 10 lakhs of savings then also there is a win situation.
      Only if the mechanism survived and maintained at least 50% of health by the end of our referenced time of 12.5 years.

    Awesome video. My questions -
    1. Is there a restriction on kwh value for an off grid system by government? Say i want to install an off grid only system of 5kwh in my house then my assumption is that no one should ask me about load limits, etc. Asking this for remote locations.
    2. Battery costs for an off grid system. Any estimate based on battery tech currently available? Want to have a huge powerbank which can give backup for an entire day.
    3. Since we are talking about renewable energy, can you talk about environment friendly replacement for LPG.

      but on ground, reality is a middle class person cannot afford to put initial capital which is high even getting it on emi is again another additional emi burden on them also the subsidy provided by govt is not sufficient. but right now solar is great option for business and commercial establishments as it will help in reducing their cost on energy consumption thereby increasing their profits.
      But if the cost of solar reduces significantly over period of time (which im very optimistic about it) than majority people will directly opt for Solar and Ev's just like any other product.

      @@nitinmalvankar5999 Listen according to the solar square ceo in the video, she said that you can get a no cost emi from them for upto 24 months
      Now suppose according to calculations you need 3kw solar plant for you house, then the cost after applying subsidy will turn out to be 125000 approx.
      Now if you take this at no cost emi of 18 months then you will have to pay approx 8500 per month
      Now according to calculations if your consumption is 350 units per month then you had to pay approx 3000
      Now it seems a big difference but if you see it in 4-5 years then this amount will get balanced out

    However...
    Here over 300Units are considered for a home. Based on that the yearly electricity cost is calculated. So i think the benefit that we would be getting over next 25 years, shall also be lesser for a home that consumes less number of units, isn't it? So how economical it is for a home that consumes less than 200Units of electricity per month?

    • @solarsquareenergy2936
      @solarsquareenergy2936 2 года назад +2

      Hi Anurag, that's a great question. So the math for solar is simple. If you consume 200 units per month => you can go for a 2 kW solar system (since 1400 units are produced per kW per year) and use electricity freely in your home.
      If the rate of electricity in your city is 8 Rs. Then you will save 2800 units * 8 = 22,4000 Rs per year in your electricity bills.

Now the subsidy is also good only for smaller capacity systems because you only get subsidy of max 78k for a 3kw system and after that no more subsidy. previously i.e in Jan there was a revised subsidy of upto 1.17 lakhs till 10kw for residential.
